Here is a tip you will need; the black coating on the probe is non-conductive, you will need to remove some from the tip or it will barely, if ever work. I spent a few minutes trying to figure out why it was doing nothing.

Just got finished my first day of using it and the wire lead broke off inside the handle.
There is no strain relief so it broke right where it is attached to the little brass doohickey that makes contact with the battery and keeps the wire from pulling out of the handle.
No biggy, I pried the little brass clamps apart (tough job), and soldered the wire back on. (Next time I will use a new tiny brass grommet)
Annoying but also reassuring to know that it is easily fixed.
All this aside it works well and does what is supposed to.
If it breaks again, I will replace the entire wire lead with a shorter piece of soft silicone wire, (I don't need that much length), and some kind of spring/strain relief. It's not something I use every day, so it will probably last me for my lifetime.
