The ex husband dropped and treated BIANCA like trash, then along came Andrew who picked her up and treated her like a treasure . ANDREW & BIANCA came into each others lives right on time.
Loved this sweet little story.
Andrew was the grumpy crazy man in town with a beautiful cottage for rent. He didn’t care about the gossip circulating in town. He knew who he was and what he was about.
Bianca and Andrew made a connection over a sweet potato pie. Then the rest became history.
Lunchtime delicious.
Bianca was starting over after divorcing her cheating husband Byron after ten years of marriage. When she first saw Mrs. Lovie's cottage she fell in love and moved in. Everyone warned her about her recluse next-door neighbor and landlord Andrew, and her first attempt at talking to him proved everyone right. But Andrew did something unexpected, he apologized and explained his behavior. Bianca was impressed that a man would apologize after admitting he was wrong and he could cook, plus he listened to her talk.
I just loved the declarations Andrew made to Bianca. This is one of my favorite quotes by him; “We are just right for each other. We found each other at the right time in our lives and I thank the good Lord above every day for that. You are the piece that makes my life whole. I would do any and everything to keep you happy, Bianca. I will be the light that brightens your darkest days and the shield that protects you from harm. You are irreplaceable to me. I love you, Bianca.” OOOOOO, that makes my heart flutter! LOL
I just loved Andrew. He was such a sweet troubled lonely soul. He fell in love with Bianca and was honest with her from the beginning. He was not a game player and he meant that. The town could talk about him if they wanted but he would not tolerate any disrespect or bad talk about Bianca. My heart melted when Andrew told Bianca about his dream of Mrs. Lovie. I truly believe that the physical body may be gone when someone dies, but love never does. Now he has Bianca in his life to keep him centered and all he had to do was apologize and bring her his sweet potato pie.
Sone women may have grown bitter and not been able or willing to recognize a good man, after the disrespect Bianca suffered, after losing her identity inside of a less than loving marriage. Her journey of self discovery was painful but filled with strength and vision. She was brave enough to go after a life she defined and let go of a relationship that did not build her up or define who she was.
They recognized in each other a fulfillment of what a loving and supportive relationship looked like, what partnership, and soul stirring lovecloked like, and they did not allow anything big or small interfere with that. She brought light and companionship, he brought love and sweet potato pie.
