I needed to replace a couple of door panel clips in my 1996 Explorer. The exact part number I needed was Ford #N802900, which are sold by several Amazon vendors.

But this huge bag of random assorted clips caught my eye. I expected it would have what I needed, plus a lifetime supply of other mystery clips for those just-in-case repair situations.

I found a close match that only needed its length to be shortened. Easily trimmed with wire cutters to create a clone of the original. Now my door panel trim is held tightly in place.

Being in the automotive industry for quite a few years now and i have encountered most of the clips in this assortment on interior and exterior panels, bumpers, fenders, headliners you name it. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. If do you do any form of work on motor vehicles you are almost guaranteed to find a clips in the pack that are useful to you.

Needed to do a repair that involves removing a panel or cover that's fastened with plastic clips? This grab bag is great. A DIYer with multiple older vehicles? This grab bag is great. Not sure of what size is needed for some missing clips? This grab bag is great.

Do expect some two-part clips to be missing inserts and inserts that won't fit into any of clips -- which isn't always useless if only one part of a clip on your vehicle has failed. Use the good part of the original and a wayward part from this bag, and you've got a functional set again.

Do expect that the quality of the plastic is not the same as OEM; some are definitely going to be one-use only as they're too resilient and would just stretch and tear when removing.

Do expect clips that may never see any purpose.

However, at pennies per piece instead of dollars per piece at a dealer or an auto parts store, the value overshadows the pitfalls. For that, it's 5 stars.

Not Much Variety

It looks like there's more variety than there is. Either that or maybe I just was unlucky. I got a few hundred of the same fasteners in about 4 different colors. Then I got about 20 or so fasteners that were individual mixed in. Then there were a about a dozen more that were 3-10 pieces. Then there were about 20 or so pieces that were useless because either it was missing the snap or it was just only a snap. And yes, I sat there checking to see if they would fit together. Which reminds me, you'll have a few dozen fasteners that don't have the snaps, so you'll have to find the matching ones if they are even in the bag. It's still a good deal, but I've bought a few of these variety packs before and had both more variety and less stragglers.

I knew the possibilities when I ordered, but for such a low price I threw the dice. The bag contains a pretty good assortment, but best of all it had the door panel fasteners I needed for my Chevy Prizm. The 17 clips alone made this deal well worth it. The fasteners are pretty much one-time use as I had to remove one and it broke. Bonus: the bag contained 3 each 1/8 inch vacuum line Ts. The bag did have about 20 2-piece push type connectors with only one of the pieces. Don't care because the overall amount and variation made the price an unbelievable deal.
