Destiny.
I’ve been hearing that word a lot lately and my opinion on the whole thing hasn’t mattered one bit. No, the stars have their plans and I’ve been consulted about it a whopping zero times.
Finally. I finally had all of my mates together. Yeah, that lasted an impressive two seconds and now one of them is gone. Does he want to be found? Or did he run?
On top of that, I have two siblings who have no idea I exist. My traitorous mother is on the run, Asrael is making moves, King Thane is making his presence known, and I’m seeing things again. Things that I shouldn’t… terrifying things.
Tensions are building toward an epic explosion. I can feel it in my bones.
Fate has its own ideas and I can only hope defeating our enemies is on the agenda. Failure means one thing in this battle.
Death.

Which is why every book ends on the same damn cliffhanger-- one of the men is dead, dying or captured.
Yeah that happens when you're idiots who don't take basic precautions against your enemies and now she's pregnant and apparently already in crisis, again not a shock as they do literally nothing to protect her or themselves.
Their plan is to go back to the demon world where the insane king tried to rape her, which is a horrible plan that immediately goes wrong because it's not a plan but a stupid idea. And I am a reader who hates sudden pregnancies, especially when their under active attack, so if you want me to keep reading, you gotta give me one hell of a story not just explain it all away with its prophesied.
Why did I wait till book 4 to review though? I waited because if the ended was amazing or the writting was more refined I would have given this whole series a 4.
But honestly every book is the same and the POV’s aren’t distinct enough to make it worth sitting through all 5 books.
Also i dislike series that are more than 3 books long, and every book ends on a major cliff hanger. A book can end without an “oh no” moment at the end, and the story can still continue and progress in the next book. Having every single book end in an “oh no” cliff hanger makes the series seem formulaic.
The plot saves this from a 1 star series though.
Saige is still a favorite FMC. She is witty, loyal, caring and I LOVE that she is thick #bodypositivity 🖤🖤 I love this harem, all of them. They are perfect for Saige in every single way.
Let me say that this book is super steamy! All the spice is in this book! Also, aside from the spice, there is a lot happening in Emerald Lakes. There are twists and turns and secrets being revealed. I have laughed and cried and cursed at this book, especially the ending.
I cannot wait until the final book. I am super excited to see where it goes and after that cliffhanger, it better be going in a good direction...
It’s slow. And repetitive. And every time I have to skip a sex scene just makes me grouchy. I never thought I’d say this, but there was too much sex that overpowered the story and all the good stuff I wanted to get to. And they say “oh gods” and “by the stars” so many times it loses its oomph. Which is sad for me.
It was still silly but not as fun for me (see complaints above) but some sex was still hot and some moments were still touching. I do wonder when they’ll start gushing over how they all are emotionally or as a personality instead of drooling over their bodies. Don’t get me wrong, those were present, but not enough for a healthy balance. That got old for me.
Overall, I’m a grumpy reader who is kinda relieved there isn’t another installment available yet. It’ll give me time to appreciate the next book when it finally does come out. I think. Hopefully.
The Magic of Destiny book 4 in Britt Andrews’s Emerald Lakes series was hands down one of the hottest books I’ve ever read 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
Saige a green witch and her harem of hot sexy Alphas, that includes mages, shifters, and demons.
This book is funny, full of action, and had me captivated from cover to cover.
The cave scene had me needing a cold shower 🚿
I can’t wait to read what this author has in store for us next!
🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆 🧙♀️🧛🐆🐉😈👹🔥
Most of the book I was feeling so bad about how things played out after the end of book three. I knew there was going to be some serious things to work through, Author Britt Andrews not only tackled those issues but also showed how hard trauma can be and how it can effect everyone in the family. Not an easy task for any writer.. but she did it and wow what a story..
Faris has become one of my absolute favorites..he’s such a fun character, he’s hilarious and so curious about everything. You can’t help but love him. Cam is so different from how he was in the beginning .. he seems to have become more of a family man, less of the boss..
Each of the guys has changed so much from Fisher finding out who he is without Faris , to Sloane opening his heart, there’s so much to discover in this book..
As a reader I like that I can follow along easy from book to book because the writing is so good and flows so well.. I fell in love with these characters from the first book and I’m glad that i am still just as captivated by them as I was in the beginning if not more so now. I’m ready for the final book , I want to see how it all comes together after that cliffhanger.. I really I can’t wait!

I cannot tell you how in love I am with this world that Britt has created. The obsession is real.
It’s hot hot 🥵 Rife with the spice! Wooweeee 🥵 But although I love the spice, it’s not the only thing going on in the book (but boyyyyy do I like it being there). Families are being formed/growing, lessons being learnt, friendships solidified and Destiny coming to light.
I laughed (snort laughed whilst trying to smoother it being as it was 1am and the husband was sleeping 🙈), I cried, I got a bit warm (🥵), I cursed Britt out. This took me all around Besmet and back with my emotions and I can’t quite believe we’re nearing the end.
Favourite guy = Thunder Daddy
Favourite Character = Gotta be Grams. 100% wanna be her when I’m older
Favourite scene = Oooh this is a tough one. Cave? I think. Final answer.. until I reread 🙈
That ending though 😬 Book 5 cannot come quick enough!

***TRIGGER WARNING: The final chapter of this book has a trigger warning at the start of it. I understand why the author has placed the warning at this point rather than at the start of the book as she doesn’t want to cause spoilers, so I won’t list them here. I suggest if you have read this far into the series and have triggers, if you download the book, check the trigger warning before you get too far into the story. Apart from this explicitly given warning, I would also suggest if you have problems relating to emotional abuse coming from a parent that this book may be problematic.***
In this book Saige has all her men back, with the exception of one, Sloane, who has gone to retrieve his father’s ashes. Still unsettled with the fire at Miranda’s and the kidnapping of Annie, Saige is worried about her missing man. It seem The Stars, or destiny, has it out for Saige as nothing ever seems to go right and it’s always out of her hands, and she’s meant to do so much for others.
This book has a lot of emotional upheaval in it. With disappearances, the possibility of new and the return of old family members, there are a lot of reasons to be emotional.
I amongst the trauma the team take every opportunity to bond and work their way through the complex web of relationships. Not all the romance in the group is between Saige and her men, some of it is also between the men themselves. There are a lot of hot and steamy scenes in this book too, which will get you hot under the collar.
This book feels very plot and romance focused. Whilst we still keep on learning about the characters, the rate at which their secrets are revealed has definitely slowed.
I’m so glad the last book in the series is already out, the cliffhanger is awful. I need to read that book STAT!

5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.
4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.
3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.
1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .

I didn't see it coming.
This book, Jesus this book. Emotional, funny, sweet. I didn't think it could get any better than the last book and I was proven wrong. So so very wrong.
The personal growth that the main characters go through is seamless and incredible. The changes in everyone from book one to book four is believable which just makes it that much better.
I love Sloane now more than ever, he's a wee ball of feelings wrapped in a hard outer shell. Bram and Faris 🥵🌶️🔥 so freaking hot. So much spice in this book but it didn't take away from the continuing storyline which is mind-blowing by itself.
I'm anxious to see what's going to happen next and what will happen to Saige and her guys, we've been promised an HEA but how we get there probably won't be pretty.

If you've read the first 3 books, you'll know to expect fast burn, steam, steam and more steam. Britt Andrews also ramps up the story here with a killer cliffhanger.
I love the cohesion that there is now between Saige's men - it seems like they've all found their places and the relationships between all of them are changing and settling.
It's probably one of my fav RHs containing MM because it doesn't neglect the relationships between the men. I find that not many RHs develop the relationships between the men in the harem enough (sexual or not) and it's refreshing to have that different aspect.
Overall a fantastic book that sets up what will surely be an exciting and drama filled end to the series with the next book.
