This book really helped me to build my personality both personally and at the workplace. You will read lots of common sense things that you may have not realized about before but once implemented can really influence how others may portray you - the impact you can have on others leaving a truly memorable impression while you build rapport to be more likable. There are insights in this book where you will say "Oh, I already knew that but why didn't I do or think about that before."

This book is pretty much sets out social guidelines to improve relationships whether with family, friends, colleagues or newly met people. I suggest that you read as many principles that you can practice - once it forms into a habit, follow on the next principle.

I have felt improvement in my communication & relationships and have been receiving better feedback from those I know.

If you are wondering, "What the heck is wrong with me?" it's possible that this book will help you to answer that question. I really appreciate that someone took the time to write this, as it helped me see myself as others probably see me without hurting my feelings.

This is a poorly presented amalgam of pop psychology. For example "Studies have shown there are between four and six distinct human emotions." says the author, who then cites one study. One social science study making a claim does not "show" something to be true, yet this is the way the book is written. The author appears to have read a few of the better known research articles on how to be found attractive to others, and summarized them. We can all do that, and it is better to read them ourselves rather than have them filtered through the lense of someone who does not understand social science research well. Additionally, the author continually (and annoyingly in my opinion) makes reference to Bill Clinton as the ultimate example of charisma. This abuser of women is someone I found revolting even before we knew his nature. He should not be our example. Mysteriously charismatic women are rarely held up as examples. I do not think this book is helpful since it does not do anything but summarize research that has already been much-discussed elsewhere. Example: "Focus on the person in front of you to make them fell like they have your full attention" . How to do this, e.g., obvious things like "look at them" is discussed in about five pages of repetitive detail. I advise you to pass on this book.

Not everyone is perfect in social situations. The stuff you'll read in this eBook are pretty common sense. Sometimes, we over think when communicating in social groups and that usually could lead to bad impressions. This eBook helped me set out some guidelines to have better relationships and connections with either with my friends or even people I just met. It does take practice to get used to these principles. I would suggest reading 1-3 principles at a time and putting them in to practice. I would say so far, I'm getting positive feedback from my friends through my new actions. I would recommend this book to a friend.
