This book is a very easy read and I have only given it 4 stars because I would of liked to know a bit more about Mansa Musa. This is a book that gives a good introduction to how Africa was before slavery and I would recommend it to everyone
This book is terrible.
I spent 4 pages for a picture book. The description says the book is 128 pages long but only 89 is content, with the rest being a glossary. Even those 89 pages, with all the pictures, big font and bigger line spacing then usual, i feel like the book is really 30-50 pages long (that's generous). After reading this i don't feel like I've gained any knowledge i couldn't find on wikipedia and other sites as such. I'd give this book a 0 star if i could.
I found it interesting, a bit random in places, but on a whole, an enjoyable read.
Quite interesting but a huge let down if you're expecting a full length adult history book.
My one niggle is that its so short. I wish it was more detailed, but I suspect a lot of that is down to the lack of sources and information.
