About Marieka Heinlen

Over the past 14 years, I've created artwork and design for hundreds of book covers and illustrated 22 picture books for young children.

I'm eternally grateful for the work that I do. Creating imagery that truly engages the audience is very important to me. I try to see the world through their eyes, stand in their shoes, then show them a twist on the familiar . . . something fresh and new.

I'm always seeking the next new medium to experiment with. These days it's a little bit of animation or making a zoo out of homemade playdough with my toddler.
