Maserati : A Hundred Years Against All Odds DVD

Great cursory glance at Maserati, heavy emphasis at the start of it all and some great period footage, however NO mention of Chrysler Era,covers up to Fiat,Ferrari and Fiat era(recent.). No special features, I wish they would have done a Bluray as well, I first saw it On prime and then purchased my own DVD copy with case as shown. The Beautiful Ghibli is there and the 450S would have loved more of that but. I also Love the Churchill Quote at the end even if he sold out at Yalta regardless A Big Churchill fan too now The documentary could be better but I am Happy to own a copy.

Very well done and informative. I have never owned one but I remember the Bora, Merak and even once thought about a Biturbo but opted for something more reliable. Glad to hear the company is on solid footing and the Alfieri is beautiful. I would liked to have seen some more info on engineering, cutaways of structure or engines. At a minimum they could have showed the tubing and structure of the 'birdcage' and shared a little bit about the torsional rigidity of the design while still minimizing weight. If they shared a little more there, it would be 5 stars.

An Extended Advert for Maserati - Just Braggadocio
Verified purchase
There is so much hype in this movie that it goes over the line to plain lies. It's unwatchable for even a historical overview. If Maserati is such a world leader where are they in F1. How about GT road racing where they constantly struggle.

The reliability of their road cars are awful, and Maserati could care less as long as the deep pocket daddies just keep buying. Maserati has one of the highest depreciation rates in the industry. This movie is just a brash braggadocio. Typical.

Great car but the video has lots of "sugar" coating

I speak from some experience. In the 70's and early eighties I sold them. Love the Italian styling although the flipside was reliability and issue with parts. The Quattroporte was a good style but the leather interior was as durable as Prada shoes. The saving grace was starting the engine. It sounded like a Bertram yacht. Fantastic!!! The BiTurbo was a mechanical nightmare. The Merek was cute but built like a Fiat. I look at this film as a "sudo" documentary.
