I needed this book.

I purchased this as an ebook in October. Like every pre-order, I ended up forgetting about it until it magically appeared in my Kindle library a week or so ago. I am currently finishing week right of the Covid Home Order in Seattle. This book could not have come at a better time. I had found myself starting book after book, fiction and non-fiction, and unable to stick with anything. I have read all of Potzsch's books and love his characters, caring about them all, and missing them when books are through. This book is no different. The story is a bildungsroman of sorts, telling the tale of Faust's ceaseless quests for knowledge of his identity, true love, the universe and what lies beyond. The translation of the text is flawless; nothing stands out as awkwardly German in its phrasing of idiomatic meaning. As this book sadly ended, upon reaching the very end, I see there is a next! I cannot wait to see how the series will take Herr Doktor to his eventual explosive ending!
