Thirty and single? Well, getcha butt to the Gathering!
As if hitting thirty wasn’t enough, unmated Scarlet Wickham is summoned to this year’s Gathering. As a woman Marked to be the mate of an Alpha pair, she’s not going to find happiness anywhere other than in the arms of two Alpha werewolves. So, off she goes with her sisters in tow. ‘Cause yeah, she’s one of the plump Wickham triplets, and they’re all being carted off to werewolf speed dating.
Keller and Madden, Ruling Alpha pair, can’t believe their luck. They’ve found their mate, and she’s more than they could have ever hoped for. She’s feisty with spirit to spare, and lush curves that they want to trace with their tongues. They can’t wait to solidify their bond and get to know the beautiful woman who is to rule at their side. The entire book is filled with humor. I mean tears down your cheeks kind of humor! This book is hot as hell too! Like hot sexy times with two Alpha males! I wonder if I can talk Author Celia Kyle into writing a book with ‘Sarah’ receiving two smokin’ hot Alpha? Never hurts to ask, right?
Scarlet Wickham is feisty as hell, loyal to the bone to her two sisters, and takes crap from no one! Not even at gathering full of Alphas! This girl had numerous wolves wanting to snap her in half but that did not scare this girl. I loved Scarlet’s sense of humor. This girl could crack a joke for any situation. And boy could she work her boy. Keller and Madden may have been the Ruling Alphas but neither one stood a chance against a mad Scarlet.
I personally would be peeing in my panties. But not Scarlet! She can make even the Ruling Alphas bow to her awesomeness!
Talk about two super sexy men who Scarlet instantly fell for. Keller was gorgeous. This man could smooth talk his way out of any anything. Well… except when he crossed his girl. He had every woman drooling but only had eyes for his mate from the moment him and Madden met her.
And Madden wasn’t only gorgeous this man was built like a warrior. He may have not been the smooth talker like Keller was but he knew how to dirty talk like no other. And I loved it! This boy was Scarlet’s challenge but she quickly learned how to tame her bad boy.
Watching Scarlet learn how to rile up her boy to have them eating out of her hands was one of my favorite things to watch. The way all three fed off of the other one was great to read. If Scarlet riled up her boys they matched it and dished it right back at her.
I would love to see more of this trio in the future.
I’d read this book again but the lack of detail, confusing writing style and the immature dialogue made it hard for me to really get into this book. It was hard to tell that Scarlet was a BBW due to the lack of detail. The words “curves” and “plump” and “lush” are tossed in but that doesn’t always indicate “plus-sized” or “full-figured”. There was even less detail about the lead males and the other characters. There was a fair bit of detail about Keller’s appearance but not much about Madden’s. Plenty of detail about what’s going on in Madden’s head, though, but nothing as to what he looks like other than he has large muscles and he’s got a thick penis. There was also huge a lack of detail in regards to location and how people got from place to place. In one chapter, I had no idea the Gathering was taking place in a hotel. I found out it was in a hotel in the next chapter. There was also zero detail about the Gathering itself. Plenty of detail in regards to the sex scenes and the fight scene, but nothing else. Not even a name for the restaurant that the “tests of proximity” were taking place in. I didn’t even know the sisters were in the same hotel as the Gathering and the Alphas. A reader can’t interpret everything a writer lays out, no matter how visual a reader is.
I also greatly dislike it when people use the word “m’kay”. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a book, on TV, in a movie, in an internet comment, or in an offline, real life conversation, said by an adult or said by a child. Use it once and I’m out. It just sounds so childish, so rude, so lazy and so condescending. In my experience, people only use the word when they’re 1) looking to start a fight, 2) want to be condescending, or 3) are just looking to be rude. I can’t stand people like that. I do my very best to distance myself from them as much as possible.
I also found myself having to reread a lot of parts over because the writing was so confusing in some areas. There was no way to tell who was speaking or to whom anyone was speaking. I had to reread a couple of convos twice to gather who was speaking and to whom they were speaking. The book also wasn’t funny. Where it tried to be funny, it tried too hard. People describe Celia Kyle’s books as laugh-out-loud funny – and this is my first Celia Kyle book I’ve read. I bought all of the Alpha Marked books and I will review them later after I read them - but I did not LOL, and I am a very easy person to make laugh. I see Aziz Ansari appear on screen – just appear - in “Parks and Recreation” and I almost faint from laughter. At some parts in the book, like when Madden votes twice for “dessert”, I faintly snort-chuckled but that was it. I rolled my eyes most of the time reading this. I rolled my eyes so hard at some points, I think I actually saw my own brain.
This book was also way too short, even for an erotic novel, for the story it told. It seemed more equivalent to an erotic short story than an erotic novel. I finished it within less than two hours. I know that “romance” is quick in these types of books but this was too quick. Porno quick. This book was a good piece to pass the time but only, and ONLY IF, you are so bored out of your mind that nothing else will do.
Overall, one of the better books I have read this year so far. I can't wait for the next book about Scarlet's sister Gabby, and to see what happens with Whitney, the youngest sister (I mean, if she's not marked, why is she there?). Come to think of it, I am not sure there is a next book planned. Please, Celia, PLEASE!

I love Scarlet Wickham because she speaks her mind from the beginning of the book. She doesn't want to go to the gathering with Gabriella and Whitney. She didn't want to be in a relationship with 2 alpha males.
Keller and Madden are the Ruling Alpha pair for North America. They can't believe that Scarlet is their mate. There is only one minor problem before they can claim Scarlet as their mate to rule with them. They have been challenged to death fight, only one pair will survive, But who will survive?
I love the Wickham Triples and the book was fantastic. Can't wait to read Gabriella and Whitney.

My only complaint is it was to short.
