About Mauricio Chaves Mesén
I wrote my first short novel when I was 8, and always knew I was born to write. It was organic, nobody taught me, I think it came embedded in my genetic code.
But then I did nothing with my gift, became an attorney, got an MBA, worked for the World Bank, and then started my own business. I became a millionaire developing real estate, was doing really great... and then the market crashed and I lost everything!
While I was licking those deep, deep wounds, I realized that failure is the way destiny reminds us that we are on the wrong path ... and that I was born to write!
I shared my story in two books (12 laws and Think success), which I am blessed to say have been successful and helped many people!
And then the muses, to whom I have neglected for so long, started whispering stories in my ear, and THE KNIGHTS OF NOSTRADAMUS was born: the amazing saga on Prophecies, Nostradamus, Da Vinci, Verne, Pyramids, the Holy Grail, Ancient Secrets and simply finding your humanity to which I have devoted my whole being.
According to the muses, something did happen on Dec.21, 2012, but we won't know for a few years... And they want me to tell that to people through my stories so it does not catch us unprepared. Weird, I know...
I just published novels 3 and 4 of the saga, but there are so many things that are still unsaid, that I am working frantically in novels 5 and 6.
Now, I'm absolutely sure this is how I fulfill my destiny.

Blog postMost people are familiar with the Bible story of Joseph in Egypt, and his dreams of the lean ugly cows (periods of crisis and scarcity) and the beautiful fat cows (periods of prosperity and abundance), each extending for seven years (a very cabalistic number, by the way…)
On December 31st, 2014, we left behind the last lean and ugly cow: seven bad years, in which the world went into recession, people lost their jobs, there were far too many wars, and money seemed to vanish…

Blog postI don’t know if entrepreneurs are born or made. Probably both.I did not sell Lemonade as a kid, or was particularly inclined to business. When I was four, I used to climb into anything –a table, a chair, a wall–, and give political speeches in support of a 1974 Presidential Candidate. Everybody thought that I was going to be President some day! (I still secretly hope I will...). At eight, I said I wanted to be a priest. Truth is I liked a girl, my friends found out, so I started the priest rumou8 years ago Read more

Blog postIn 1999 I was really worried! The millennium fears were taking a toll on me. I had written my first novel (about Nostradamus and 1999!), and for my research, I had read too many conspiracy theories and interpretations of the prophecies. Therefore, I kind of believed that we were doomed…It didn’t help that everybody was talking about the Y2K computer bug (planes were going to fall from the sky and the world would come to a halt!); nor that they had just released a couple of As8 years ago Read more

Blog postPhillip Knight, founder of NIKE, once said that no matter how many times he had failed, he always knew he only had to be successful one last time. Because once you succeed (NIKE!!!), everybody forget about your failures.
We all have failed at something. School, Business, as a Spouse, or tying a knot as a Boy Scout. Mine have been big and painful (believe me!). But I have always believed, as Napoleon Hill said, that in the debris of every failure there are the seeds for great s9 years ago Read more -
Blog postOptimism has at least two sides. One is great, and translates into the ability to face failure and setbacks thinking, 'ummm, I wonder what good will come out of this'. After a failure, optimism let us use the debris of 'what was' as building blocks for what 'should be'. An optimistic believes in him/herself, and knows everything is possible to those who believe.
But it has a negative side: over optimism can blind us to realities. I.E., as we have seen, when crunching the numbers for a new9 years ago Read more -
