Maybe Next Time (Vegas Nights Book 1) Kindle Edition
That was the promise Denver and Kensa made, but it’s a sentiment they’ve somehow lost along the way. What started as a passionate wildfire has diminished to a flicker, all but snuffed out by unspoken fears, perceived betrayal, and a complete breakdown in communication.
Can either of them tuck their ego away long enough to rekindle their flame?

This couple is very passionate, perhap a bit hot headed, with how they handle their issues. Let’s just have a word about Denver - now I am not lusting after this married man, no, no I am simply congratulating his wife, yes maybe even sitting in awe of Mr. Benoit. 😍 Maybe even drawn into the perceived bad boy image. 😘 Cause baby due walks with a limp cause his gun is heavy. 🤤(read between the lines good people).😆😆
Anywho, I was emotionally invested and related to Kensa in this story as a married woman. Sometimes it’s hard to talk about what is bothering you with these men, shoot. All jokes aside, marriage is hard and this story displayed what is the downfall of many marriages: lack of communication. You did again CCJ with the sliding in a message into the good time. 🚨Trigger warning of infant loss in this read.🚨 5 ✨ because I am still over here appreciating Denver. 😉
At this point we all know I’m a CCJ fan. She’s finally given me a second chance romance with a married couple and certainly didn’t disappoint. Denver and Kensa are in the fight of their lives and we are dropped in right in the middle of it. Kensa swears she’s ready to end her marriage, tired of waiting for Denver to wake up and notice her, but Denver sure she’s just blowing smoke. So what does she do? Serve him with divorce papers. That sets them on a path of multiple confrontations, sexual frustration, and a spousal kidnapping that may or may not be a little extreme.
This book gave me tension, steamy content, grief and a range of emotions and all in less than 100 pages. PURE TALENT. Casual Black Romance readers beware (lol).
This was short, but it packed a powerful message. Kensa and Denver had a love that can stand many test as long as they work it out. I loved the chemistry between Denver and Kensa and was rooting for them. This was so good and I love how Christina write a story of a powerful love. Excellent read as always.
