I can't believe I kept passing up the opportunity to see this film. From the name "Meet My Valentine" and the picture on the front, made me think that it was just a frivolous love story, but was I wrong! Instead it's a sweet, yet sad and enduring love story ---- tears are guaranteed to flow. Scott Wolf and Courtney Ford were great in this movie.

I think only the part where the actor says, “I don’t know what to do”, that really represents what this story is trying to say. People deal with adversity in different ways, but the control freak wants to assert control on things that he cannot control, even on things beyond his own grave. It is hard to have the courage to recognize that there are things that are beyond one’s control and accept them. May we all have the courage to let people we love live their own lives.

If you want a happily ever after story, skip this one. It's a quite true to life portrayal of the stages of grief a person diagnosed with a terminal illness goes through and how the family copes with it, as well. It is heart-wrenching to watch this husband and father try to find his replacement for his wife and daughter, all the while falling ever more deeply in love with his wife and fighting the reality that he will have to leave them. Have some tissues ready.

Scott Wolf has come a long way from Party of Five...wow, he really surprised me with this amazing movie. I passed it up so many times on Prime because I assumed it was a cheesy love story. It is the opposite. It's so good and painful at the same time. If you are looking for a feel good Hallmark or Lifetime movie, this is not it. It's about what we leave behind.

I knew about this movie for a while and knew I would need to be ready with the tissues. When I finally felt ready, I watched this and was not disappointed. I loved watching him fall back in love with his wife as he looks for his replacement. I loved the touching ending as well.

There is a lot to question about in this film. It is interesting that he cannot write a short list of things that interest his wife and he ask his daughter what she likes and then creates such a simple list. Does she want or need a new husband? These are her decisions and choices to make. I feel there is a general lack of disregard for what she likes and what she wants and the film sends the message this is sweet and okay.

What a heartbreaking story. Yes...Tom's idea was ridiculous but it's so real. I loved/hated it! ha
Content wise there was only 3 cuss words, 2 were minor ones.

I enjoyed this sensitive story. The acting was excellent. I thought it showed grit and realism in a very difficult life-altering situation. I could see each character's point of view. It impacted me.
