About Megan Logan MSW LCSW
A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Megan Logan graduated Summa Cum Laude from James Madison University in Virginia with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and a Minor in Family Issues. She received her Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University.
For the last 22 years, Megan has provided mental health therapy in a variety of settings including domestic violence and sexual assault centers, foster care agencies, community-based mental health programs, hospice, and currently private practice. Helping others heal through challenges and adversities has given her wisdom and insight on how to become unstuck and move forward in life. Megan enjoys developing creative and unique activities and interventions.
As a contributing therapist in Liana Lowenstein's books "Assessment and Treatment Activities for Children, Adolescents and Families: Practitioners Share Their Most Effective Techniques"(2010) and "Assessment and Treatment Activities for Children, Adolescents, and Families VOLUME 3: Practitioners Share Their Most Effective Techniques" (2011), Megan shares her original and creative play therapy techniques. She has also contributed original therapeutic activities for PERCENSYS CORE Learning, LLC 's resource and toolkit for practitioners with a focus on children and trauma, healthy relationships and communication, impulse control, and emotional regulation.
When not providing therapy, Megan enjoys spending time outdoors with family, hunting for shark's teeth, and reading.
