Still Enjoyable and Going Strong
Verified purchase
I am still enjoying Midsomer Murders after all these years. In the last few seasons there is a new Chief Inspector Barnaby and a subtle shift in story line that updates the series in good ways. It is not quite as gothic in mood and the characters are not quite as barmy as the very early series - all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Sometimes I really need the escape into Midsomer County for an hour and half and I am grateful to view it now through an AcornTV subscription on Amazon Prime.

Asolutely Delighted...

As a long time fan of Midsomer Murders, I am absolutely thrilled with the opportunity to view all 18 seasons of this series and am praying for more. Our PBS station has not carried all the seasons; but I was so happy that I watched them all, even those I had seen before. The new detectives have grown on me and they did bring the cousin on very nicely. I am in love with Sykes, the dog, and wonder where they find the babies who seem to be able to act as well as the adults. Actually, I had considered giving up my prime, but I have had a change of heart. My prayer now is that there will be many more of these programs to enjoy in the future. Thank you Amazon. Thanks for Prime.

Killing them with kindness

Love, love, love this series, the new Barnaby and the old. Love Sykes and now Betty. A little adjustment when actors changed but the heart of Midsomer is still there-crazy, weird killings around high tea and good manners.

This series coming on the heels of beloved Lewis who came on the heels of beloved Morse was greeted by this hooked fan with trepidation. How could it match the earlier series? BUT IT DOES! it is fantastic. The only disappointment was that there were only four episodes for 2016. GIVE US MORE!!!!!!

Comfort TV

My husband recently became bedridden. Every night for the past six weeks, we've watched a couple of episodes of this show together. It's perfect for those times when you just want to hunker down and recover from a stressful day. Midsomer Murders is comfort TV at its best! Highly recommend.

I really enjoy British mysteries and do enjoy the Midsomer Murders

I really enjoy British mysteries and do enjoy the Midsomer Murders....however, it seems in every story it takes at least three murders before the mystery is solved...makes you wonder about the detectives!! I do enjoy watching the character actors that turn up in many of these stories...they add a lot to the presentation.
