A Scandalous Husband was the first book of Bev Pettersen’s that I read, and I went back and read almost all of her work now. So when A MILLIONAIRE’S SHOT came out I quickly got it.

I totally enjoyed it! Alex Sutherland is a father who has sacrificed everything to protect his daughter—even gave up the woman he has loved…and more!

Cassie Edwards ran away when Alex married Rachel, who had manipulated him into getting her pregnant. But when her ailing grandfather needs her help, she cannot stay away.

Both Alex and Cassie believe they have gotten passed those feelings. But as the plot unfolds we learn that many things are not what they seem to be.

One thing I always enjoy about Pettersen’s writing is her authenticity when it comes to writing about horses in any setting. Her ability to create tension, life-like characters and description also pulls me in.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read and highly recommend it.

This was a good book but for me I kinda wanted a little be more. However it was good .

Alex and cassie grew up together and fell for each other. But circumstances took them away from each other but they always loved each other.

Cassie came back to.town several years later to help with her sick grandfather hoping to never run into Alex. Of course things don't happen like we would like most of the time.

Can they find their way back to each other or are there still to many obstacles in their path..

I had a hard time bonding with Alex, the hero in this book. I thought he was weak and dumb. I did not like the way he treated Cassie, the heroine in the book. She was always his second choice even though he claimed he loves her. I was very disappointed in Alex throughout this book. Cassie was a likable character. I would've enjoyed this book more had Cassie make Alex work for her and had he actually put her first.

Then enter Grace , Alex's daughter, and Cassie is drawn to her, and bringing out once again, Megan's love for horses. A good red for all ages.
