About the author

Souls on fire…
Award winning and USA Today bestselling author, India R. Adams, writes stories of souls on fire. Whether India’s characters are feeling the heat from hell or the wings of grace, they are all transforming and want to share their journey with you. Her novels range from Dark MC, Paranormal, to Contemporary, but each story is either a path of destruction or a road to redemption.
Sometimes both.
So, if you want to read about voyages of the heart, the grit to rise from one’s knees, or the strength to break free of the binds of a spirit, then pick one of India’s stories because she believes damaged souls are worth saving and that there is nothing more beautiful than a soul on fire.

I really appreciate you for writing it. I enjoyed the story
an amazing, captivating and enthralling story. Mist is the best so far. I’m emotionally exhausted from this tale and excited at the same time. I could not stop reading, not once.
This is not an easy book to read it gutted me at times. I had to walk away and process. I cried, I smiled, I swooned and I did a lot of thinking. Maybe you could read this as a fantasy for pure entertainment purposes only. I could not. There’s way too much going on and life lessons to be learned. I’ve said it before and I will say it again this author knows much more than she is revealing. She puts forth her life lessons in this beautiful trilogy. We are all connected in a never ending life rollercoaster of thrilling experiences, both good and bad. Just remember bad is not forever. Just as good is not forever but love can be eternal and enduring. Love of all things. We are all responsible beings and have our karma to pay both good and bad. I truly believe in the six degrees of separation theory and that we are connected to the universe. So we are all responsible to help our fellow man. All this is put forth in this book. If I learned just one thing (which I took away so much more) it is the idea of surrender. We all look at surrender as a negative. However, sometimes you just need to surrender to the idea that if you surrender to it will work out. Have faith. It may not work out in the manner you want but it will work out. As the song says, Have a little faith in me. That me could be yourself, the universe, your faith.
I’d like to thank India for bringing a certain someone back into the book. To say I was happy is an understatement. Of course I love Ryder and Rose but Gunner and his antics are the comic and loving relief I needed. His banter with Ryder got me every time.
I’ve gone long enough. What I will say is that this is a trilogy I will be picking up again and again. There’s song I thought of while I was reading this by Liza Minnelli titled, The World Goes Round. The lyrics start out with, “Sometimes you’re happy, sometimes you’re but the world goes round.. it ends with” But the planet spins and the world goes round, and round and round and round and round, the world goes round and round and round and round!
This is life the ride that never ends. This book will forever play out in my mind!
I absolutely love how this series as been written. Yes it has mainly been told through Rose and Ryder, but the way the author has done it makes it seem like it's told by all and the exquisite detailing makes you feel like you are right there; part of the tribe.
"To those who have the courage to say goodbye, even though they wish to never have to speak such a word". Ok even this singular line at the very beginning of the book has me EXTREMELY scared of what's to come especially after all that we experienced in River. My feelings were instantly justified by a heart breaking prologue that hints at what's to come. Like my review for River I'll be keeping my review shortish/vague as if I mention much more it will ruin the journey that is going to destroy us all...
Finally finished Mist and I'm in shock and a bundle of emotions. It was everything I was expecting and so much more. Unlike the other books I didn't race through it, and took a few days, as I wasn't ready to say goodbye to characters that I bonded with on this mystical journey. Definitely not a series to be missed.
You trust that your favorite author, India R. Adams, respects her prominent place in our metaphysical world, and completes her masterful, A Stranger in the Woods series, with honor, by pouring her heart and soul into the completion of this amazing trilogy.
Book 3, MIST, continues the journey we started with RAIN and RIVER, books 1 and 2, and we excitingly gather these beings into our souls to watch transformations that defy our imaginations. Ryder and Rose and Gunner, these characters are a lifeline, as their extraordinary relationships traverse time, again and again.
When you feel the emotional ties grab your heart, at the sacrifices that each make to uphold the love they share, and when they expand their family, to bring about the safety and well-being of those they hold dear, you will understand the depth of their epic journey of hope.
I feel as if we have been privileged to have had a glimpse of these men and women of honor. Meeting Rain, River, and Mist have helped to heal the darkness that may be hiding inside each of us.
Our hearts beat stronger, our minds are clearer, and our souls are forever changed by the stranger in the woods!
This one, however seemed, to me anyway, a bit deeper than the previous two but in a good way. It was more in depth, there was so much more to Ryder, to the young, to everyone in this one. As always, she had me crying early on and throughout the book. There is not one book I have read by her that has not had me in tears, whether it be a few tears, my eyes filling or just a big ugly cry. She writes such amazing characters, you can't help but fall in love with them, even the villains.
Although I am sad to see Rose,Ryder and Gunner's story come to an end I am excited to see what the future holds for the young and the others.

I cheered on the epic battles and laughed at all the banter. I may have even got a bit teary on several occasions, not all of them sad either!
This is a really emotional read, on so many different levels. Ms Adams brought it all together beautifully and I admit, I am sad the series has finished, but like all good things, it has to come to an end and I hope that we'll get mention of our heroes at some other point in time...
Rose, Ryder and Gunner are true heroes! ;)

Why...WHY did the series have to end I mean it was the perfect ending but still whyyyy!!!!..
I'm gonna miss this book world and the details India put into it..Once again India's words gave me all the feels..This series is a 100% re-read for me if you love fantasy you need to grab this series.
