Boring, not uplifting, blah
Only one I enjoyed was Train and it ended without an ending. Think they tried to be too artistic which made it unrealistic. I would rate it even lower than watching my youngest tee ball games, at least he does good impressions of an airplane out in left field and the vodka spiked smoothie helps as well. Follow my kids lead, pass (kick, bowl, whatever) the ball to the other team and let them watch this crap.

Far cry from the excellent first season
First season was poignant and the setting perfect. This season just meanders, cliched, full of tropes. Stories seem so contrived. The first episode was just plain boring.

Anything like the stories in the New York Times?
Yes? Then, think I'll skip it.
PC, 'woke,' stylish, smooth, oily, dripping with 'status signaling' as well as 'virtue signaling.'
Back to some Bosch!

Not nearly as good as the 1st Season
I loved the writing and heartwarming/emotional response the first season elicited. I'm 6 out of the 8 episodes into the 2nd season, hoping to feel something - The first season was like a power-punch to the gut with each one - these are sadly all lukewarm. Disappointed.
Loved seeing Anna Paquin. It's been so long!

Tedious
What happened? Last season was good. Did the writer(s) quit?

Season 2 starts out spectacular
Episode 1 hits it out of the ballpark. Love is everlasting and transcends time and space. Kleenex optional. I want to savor this series instead of binging as I did last season.

Not as bad as everyone is saying?
I felt like I had to write a review to cut through the vitriol! The show is called Modern Love, and that means every story is not going to be boy-meets-girl-boy-falls-in-love-with-girl-they-get-married-live-happily-ever-after. There's queer love, there's unrequited love, there's one night stands, there's COVID love, there's second chance love. Not only that, but it deals so well, I thought, with the feelings that go along with this.

For example, episode 1: Minnie Driver is grappling with selling her dead 1st husband's car. She's grappling because she felt like while driving the car she could still be connected to him. But what got me in that episode is when she finally confessed this to her 2nd husband and he accepted that, of course, she still loved her 1st husband - he died while she still loved him - but her 2nd husband knew that it didn't take away from her love for him, because she had enough for both of them. I worded that horribly, but it was such a lovely sentiment and so well done.

Another aspect I think is well done is the portrayal that life is complicated and messy. It's not just meeting someone, it's also meeting someone and dealing with the death of a loved one. It's not just cheating spouses, it's cheating spouses and possible PTSD, it's not just divorce, it's divorce and breast cancer. It's much more realistic in this respect, and I loved the realness of it.

Even the ones where there wasn't a traditional happy ending felt much more real and modern than most love stories out there, and encourage the viewer to feel the feelings, not just watch the action. I think this show as a whole puts things into perspectives that we might not be exposed to, AND it makes sure to include all kinds of love, so the old/young, queer/straight/other, single/married/divorced people all feel seen and represented. I'm kind of flabbergasted this could be taken so badly by so many.

Dumb
Well saw episode 1 so far.. hated it.. If you're into a story about an old ugly broken down car and a dead person.. this is for you!

The 1st season was so long ago I don't even remember it.. but I remember i liked it overall.. If this season is as bad as episode one.. we're in trouble..

Episode 2 - remember that time when the grocery was closed, lights out, door locked and you knocked on the door cuz you need to buy groceries and the grocer came over with a big smile on his face and opened the door so you could shop? Yeh me neither - 1 star

Episode 3 - you've got to be kidding? Yeh we get to see Jon Snow as adorable as he is but they literally leave the story HANGING. I'm done
