Agent Franks isn't your ordinary government agent. He's a slab of hate bundled together with muscle, and he happens to be over 300 years old. Fortunately, he's on our side...until he gets framed. Now he's on a mission to clear his name and eliminate everyone who happens to be involved in the set-up.

This book takes place right after the events of Monster Hunter Legion and primarily revolve around everyone's favorite flesh golem, Agent Franks. MHI makes minor appearances, along with some of the other monster hunter groups, but this book is less about guns and more about old fashioned butt-kicking courtesy of Franks. **Minor spoiler alert**: Franks and Earl Harbinger go toe-to-toe in a real two-fisted slobberknocker of a fight, so that alone is worth the price of the book.

I don't want to spoil anything about plot, but suffice it to say this book is filled with action and is set up nicely for whatever comes next, and that should be a real humdinger of a fight. Damn, now I want to read all the other Monster Hunter books over again!

THIS BOOK IS AWESOME! Ever since Author Larry Correia announced that he was writing an MHI story starring the walking murder machine Franks, I was salivating to read it. I can say that without a doubt, Correia delivered in full. Franks basically shoots, stabs, and punches anything that stands in between him and his mission. What makes this book so phenomenal, just like Monster Hunter Alpha, not only do we get an awesome story starring a pivotal character, but we also get some valuable backstory that helps explain the characters and helps the audience connect with them. Bottom line this book is Franks taking on the Special Task Force Unicorn, for those of you who have read the other books, you know how much fun that sounds. If you haven't read the other books in this series, you totally should, this book series really is the Expendables meets Cthulhu meets creature features galore.

This book was so well done. Within the MHI series this is as good as the first book (Monster Hunter International) where I got so pulled in by the depth of the main character. Nemesis is all Franks and it feels so great to get real background on such a major character from the other side of the house. I only wish the book had been longer and had even more about the Franks character.

He takes the the strong silent archetype to new heights. Correa is fearless when it comes to storylines, sparing no one, he pushes his characters thru their paces with no mercy and if they are sacrificed to progress the story then so be it!
Overall a cracking story with plenty of action and an engaging plot, a few visits with series regulars and a great thumping finale!

Another good read though not quite as engaging as books 1 - 4, I missed the Monster Hunter International teams characters though the time we do hear from them in this story was just explosive enough to keep me hoping for book 6 in the series!
