Hate to say it, but 'Monsters' is a heck of a good love story. Oh sure, you have all the supernatural goodness going on after all. Raphael remains a mystery as to what exactly he is, and there is no doubt what Kaliya is and has become; and that is a woman who is slowly falling in love with a monster even as she sees herself more and more as one. All in all, a very enjoyable book even if Kaliya is working hard to make things as difficult for herself as possible. Highly recommend the series. Going to be a long wait until June and the next book gets here...

A great novel in this wonderful series! The numerous kinds of supernaturals are extremely interesting as is the development of their governing structure and the politics between all of them. This made for great reading. The incredible level of detail about the supernaturals; their abilities and their relationships with each other, it's all very compelling. The main characters are outstanding, especially of course, the badass Nagini, deadly and smart. A true dark heroine, wild and unforgiving.

I wasn’t taken with the first book in this series, thinking it would get better I read the second book. The story was getting good and so I read this book, third in the series. I am so happy I stuck with it, this series has gotten better to the point where I read through the night ignoring my need to sleep. Yes, it’s that good, well done!

I loved this story but am sick of Kaliya running from her mate. I want to see all the guilty punished too. I suppose I will have to wait. This isn't the first time I have been frustrated with the snail movement of a story. I guess I need to work on patience.

It took three books but finally Raphael has answers. I think this could have been done in two books though. What they find at the laboratory is so sad. I hope we get to know more about a few of the new characters. Makita has helped Raphael so this book ends without her getting any answers though.

Kaliya and Casiuss help Raphael hunt for answers and the "healer" behind the attempt to kill Kaliya during the supernatural prison jailbreak. While it helps if you read the other books in the series first it's still a very good enjoyable read. It's better to read the series from the beginning. If like this I also recommend reading the Jacky Leon series.

Holy heck did not see that coming, but what a exciting piece in a wonderful series. The realism, the fact Banet is willing to touch on subjects that are hard enough in the real world in a world that has so many complexities itself. It is a book that we are not worthy to have but by God she gave it to us!!

Screw the mate stuff. That is all unnecessary. She should be doing more of her job as an executioner rather than playing ameteur psychiatrist. Poor executioner, she had a terrible childhood. Get over it!!!!! Book 4, forget the other garbage, be a professional killer and work with the other species.

Grr not the ending we wantedReviewed in the United Kingdom on February 16, 2021
For me, Kaliya was too full of angst in this. It was all a bit whiney and I'd rather we had our tough, kick ass heroine back. I know the road to true love is never easy but don't drag it out too long and make her constantly miserable. It was all a bit depressing. However, I still like the characters and will be reading the next. Off to read the next Jacky book which has just landed.
Original and kickass!Reviewed in Australia on February 12, 2021
I absolutely love this series. Banet has created an interesting world full of kickass but flawed characters to which this series is an excellent addition. I 100% would recommend and if you haven’t already checked out her other series from this world, Jacky Leon, you definitely should...immediately!
