You no longer see good written screenplays like this anymore

This is a true comedy classic. You no longer see good written screenplays like this anymore. Unfortunately, the movie comedies of today are trash humor like that no talent, "Amy Shumer", and her ridiculous movies. The screenwriters of today can take a lesson from those back in the early 80's and maybe someday Hollywood will produce movies like they use too. This movie has a great cast and everyone in the family can watch it. I really miss this time in film history. Great to relive the moments when writing was a real art form. Thanks for posting Amazon. :)

Still one of the best family comedies from the 80s

This is a an awesome awesome film that takes me back. I was a 70s kid and did not see this until I was much older. Every actor in it is awesome. The 80s comedy history always seems to be remembered for other types of genres, but this one- this is a bit different. You can watch it even now and understand what taking care of a house and being a parent is like, no matter what year.

Mr. Mom

It was very funny, but then there was a scene where these women take him to some place where these barely dressed men are dancing in a way that I didn't want to see. I seen this on TV, I have to assume that part was removed. Wasn't expecting that scene. I had to fast forward because I didn't want to see it!! I don't want my grandkids watching that part either.

If men in speedos are your thing, especially when watching a movie with your grandchildren, then this is your movie! Everything else was okay. She had to work, he had to stay home. She didnt like it as much as being a mom which was refreshing. If you have Clearplay you can just skip the men dancing for dollar bills.

Good one.

Classic good old movie. It has held up over the decades... not sure "kids of today" would really understand much of it though ... they prolly think its sexist, derogatory, and offensive. Oh well, their loss for not enjoying a good classic like this!

Still a cute flick

Listened to The Rewatchables podcast about "Mr. Mom," so had to watch it again. It's light and fun, and both leads are just so young and cute to watch. The Amazon Choice 2011 DVD has no extras, and if you need subtitles, they come in Spanish and French only. But for a quick refresh of a pleasant story with plenty of great comedic lines, it's a hit.

Classic 80's movie about role reversal. Still funny! Great movie to add to your 80's movie collection. When I purchased this file it was an "Add-on". Great price! Highly recommend!

Michael Keaton at the start of his career...this is one of those fun family movies, even a bit corny. Dad, with a wife and 3 kids, loses his job with the automotive industry. Mom (Teri Garr) has an advertising background, and she's the one who finds work. This makes dad "Mr. Mom," and then the fun starts. You can imagine what happens when dad let's the baby eat canned beans. Good supporting cast. It's a keeper--I grab the popcorn and watch it at least once a year.
