Too Much Temptation (Brava Brothers series Book 1) Kindle Edition
|New from||Used from|
Virginal and voluptuous, Grace Jenkins has secretly loved and lusted after handsome Noah Harper for three years but he was engaged and, therefore, off-limits. Then Noah walks in on his bride-to-be with another man and abruptly breaks off the engagement, refusing to explain the reason for the canceled wedding to his family. His grandmother and his fiancée's family are outraged. Grace rushes to defend him and is stunned when Noah responds by taking her straight to bed. She thinks this is only mutual lust and decides to enjoy the excitement for as long as it lasts while Noah quickly discovers that what he feels for Grace is much more complicated than simple lust. But convincing Grace is another matter entirely--she refuses to see herself as a permanent part of his life. Meanwhile, Noah's ex-fiancée is stirring up trouble with his autocratic grandmother and before she's done, Noah will have to reevaluate his relationship with his grandmother, Grace will have a whole new self-image, and both will face major upheaval in their careers and personal lives.
Author Lori Foster has a reputation for warm, engaging characters combined with sizzling sexual tension and Too Much Temptation has plenty of both. The dominant theme in this novel, however, is that of a woman's sexual awakening and Foster traverses this tricky ground with deft skill. --Lois Dyer --This text refers to the paperback edition.

Thank you for writing the heroine, Grace Jenkins, as a plump woman. Thank you for portraying her as beautiful, sexy, (although Grace didn’t think she was those things) warm, charming, funny, and lovable.
And thank you for writing Noah Harper to be the kind of man who sees Grace as the beautiful and sexy woman that she is. Thank you that Noah wouldn’t let Grace put herself down because of her size. And thank you that Noah loved Grace “just the way she is.”
I highly recommend this book. And after you’ve read this one, read Noah’s half-brother Ben’s story, in “Never Too Much,” an equally great read.
And I loved a Grace. So sweet and accepting of people. We should all be like Grace.
Liked Grandma better in Bens book.
Getting Rowdy is still my fave Lori Foster. But these two brothers will make you sigh. Seriously these brothers are hot!!!
There are no plot surprises here; this one is all about the characters, especially the heroine. I LOVE Grace! She has a poor self image - for which I usually have no patience in my fiction - but she is a happy person, who generally enjoys life. And she is having the time of hers, with the hero and their red hot affair. Every scene between the two is a delight.
There is a strong cast of secondary characters, and plenty of brother Ben, who stars in the next book of the series. And the author has managed to make all of them likeable, in spite of themselves. For instance, in the words of another character, Kara is spoiled, selfish and weak. And yet, you still don't hate her. The same could be said for domineering Agatha and overblown Enrique.
In the mood for light and FUN? Try this one.

I loved this book. It made me smile, laugh and cry...
Grace has had little experience with men and feels too awkward and insecure because she is overweight. She has known Noah for three years, and loved him for nearly as long.
After discovering his fiancée in the arms of a lover, Noah Harper breaks off his engagement. He wants to make love to Grace, but he doesn't want anything more complicated than that... and Grace deserves better.
(I read this book in 2003 and wrote this review then.)
What can I say about this book that hasn't already been said? It is a wonderfully sexy and heartwarming romance that will melt even the coldest of hearts.
I read this book from start to finish in one blissfully, happy sitting. When I finished, I wanted to go back and re-read it again!!!
The characters are brilliant and some are quite comical. You completely lose yourself in their world. And as for the many sex scenes.....WOWSER!!!!
Noah and Grace are just so compatible with one another that you can practically feel the sexual energy burning up from the pages! Boy!!! Lori's marriage must be really happy if this is just what she thinks up on paper!
I fully recommend this title to ANYONE, who is looking for romance in a book. The sizzling sex just makes it so much more appealing!!!
This is certainly one very satisfied reader who will be endulging in all of Lori's other books!
