I've enjoyed this movie as long as it's been out. Since it's been some time since it's been broadcast, it was time to get the Blu-ray.
I think Keaton did a great job playing the different clones versions of Doug. I can see where it would be a challenge to keep these personalities straight and interact with those versions and Keaton plays it off very well. Andie Macdowell also does a great job as Keaton's wife.
The story itself is really good and funny. I like how it presents some interesting dilemmas that may come with this notion of making copies of yourself including the dilemma of being a married man with clones who also remember being married to this woman but have to keep their distance because they're not the "original".
The Blu-ray is done fairly well. There is a drawback with high definition, however, in that sometimes the multiple versions of Keaton stand out a little too sharply in some scenes. Also, I'm a little disappointed in that this Blu-ray is another bare bones release with almost no special features at all. All it has is a subtitle option and a trailer and that's it. I was hoping for at least some behind the scenes documentary or commentary. Scene selection option would be nice as well. However, it's better than nothing.
All in all, it's good to have if you're a fan of Michael Keaton and quirky scifi comedies as well.
