Fun movie: Three Dougs and a Steve
Verified purchase
I've enjoyed this movie as long as it's been out. Since it's been some time since it's been broadcast, it was time to get the Blu-ray.

I think Keaton did a great job playing the different clones versions of Doug. I can see where it would be a challenge to keep these personalities straight and interact with those versions and Keaton plays it off very well. Andie Macdowell also does a great job as Keaton's wife.

The story itself is really good and funny. I like how it presents some interesting dilemmas that may come with this notion of making copies of yourself including the dilemma of being a married man with clones who also remember being married to this woman but have to keep their distance because they're not the "original".

The Blu-ray is done fairly well. There is a drawback with high definition, however, in that sometimes the multiple versions of Keaton stand out a little too sharply in some scenes. Also, I'm a little disappointed in that this Blu-ray is another bare bones release with almost no special features at all. All it has is a subtitle option and a trailer and that's it. I was hoping for at least some behind the scenes documentary or commentary. Scene selection option would be nice as well. However, it's better than nothing.

All in all, it's good to have if you're a fan of Michael Keaton and quirky scifi comedies as well.

DVD is 4:3, not 16:9 :-(
Verified purchase
I love the movie, but this DVD is the Full Screen (4:3) version of the movie and not the widescreen (16:9) version. The magic of this movie is seeing Michael Keaton playing three people on the screen at the same time, which is not possible in 4:3 since the "camera" has to pan back and forth between the characters. Unfortunately, I don't see a widescreen version available anywhere.

A very funny older movie
Verified purchase
I watched this movie a long time ago, and was glad to find it on Amazon to add to my dvd comedies collection.
It is one of those laugh out loud older movies that you never get tired of watching repeatedly. Those are the type movies I enjoy so very much. I feel so much better when I can laugh out loud and smile often. So I won't disturb my neighbors, I use stereo earbuds and a long audio cable when I watch them on my tv, and when I watch movies on Amazon Prime Video I still use stereo earbuds on my laptop. Be kind! Neighbors do NOT want to hear any loud noises coming from other tenants. Michael Keaton and Andie McDowell are two of my favorite actors.

Wow, Loved it! Really funny!

Really enjoyed watching this movie. It's a little pricy but well worth it! I would definitely purchase it again if something happened to the copy I bought.

The movie was really funny. My husband had seen it once before (a really long time ago) and is a Michael Keaton fan. I hadn't seen it before but thought the trailer/concept seemed interesting. We both loved it and were very happy with our purchase. Absolutely no regrets here! :)

About the movie - The movie is about a man feeling like he has no time to do everything, even less time for himself, and with a wife that's wanting to get back to the workforce now that her kids are in school. Problems ensue after the man gets an opportunity to have a clone made of himself. I'll leave it at that but this is well worth the watch! :)

Love the movie; but copy of it is poor quality

I love this movie - Michael Keaton did an amazing job of all these different personalities/characters. If I can laugh out loud of sheer ridiculousness and the animated facial expressions and body language - it's in my top best comedy films. However, the quality of this film reduced it to TV range and not widescreen version and then there was some awful blue spots in a few frames mid-way and that is why I gave it a 4 star rating instead of a 5. I did not pay money for this grainy, squooshed, spotty film. Come on, Amazon, you can do better than this.

Love this ridiculous film! Hi Steve!

Multiplicity is one of my favorite "guilty pleasure" films. Michael Keaton's acting is just stellar. This particular version (digital download) of the film is just about the only way you can see this fun movie in HD (as of 1/7/17). The transfer is just okay. It has lots of debris and dirt evident on the print. Audio is almost sub par. Sometimes you can barely hear the dialog, so you crank it up to hear, then the next scene you will be blared out by the score. Overall a fun not take it all serious film. M:4, V:3, A:2

Edit: Dear Sony, Please release this on Blu-Ray with a crispy remaster and please give us a remastered DTS-HD audio track.

One of my all time favorite comedies. Most of us can relate to what the protagonist is going through at the most busiest time in his life. He has a demanding job, his wife goes back to work and expects him to pitch in half at home and he isn't able to enjoy golf anymore, because he doesn't have enough time to do it all! Unhappy that he is failing and burnt out, Michael Keaton's character has found the solution. He needs a clone, then all will be well in his world. NOT! This movie is always great laughs for me. I hope you enjoy it too.

I took one star away because the sound had to be turned way up. I don't believe this version is remastered.

Was funny, but a bit weird. My boyfriend did not care much for it. He seen it as man trying to make himself into God. The whole cloning process... he just did not care for it. So, we probably will not keep it in our collection.
