Disappointing ending to an intriguing story
Verified purchase
When I saw that the screenplay was by the amazing Jenny Diski (may she Rest In Peace), I knew that there would be psychosexual shenanigans going on. Rampling and Eve are marvelous in the leading roles. It would have been better as a miniseries crime drama. Instead it ends abruptly, cutting off what should have been a complex and mysterious character study of the two leads and especially the femme fatale. Disappointing? Yes. Still worth watching? If you are fans of the actors involved, then it definitely is.

Why make this movie?

No socially redeeming reason for this movie to have been made. Actors did a fine job, but what is the point of the story? Maybe I'm just missing something that is obvious to everyone else. If so, please correct me.
