This Movie was made in 1992, not in 2019.

This movie was filmed in 1992. Why is it dated as 2019 on Prime Video? The lead actors, Chris Sarandon and Virginia Madden were 29 years younger when they did this film. Madden was very pretty but average at acting. Then she gained weight and faded. Susan surpassed her ex-husband, Chris Sarandon, as a major star.

Solomon is even more despicable in real life
Verified purchase
Good acting especially by the beautiful Ms. Madsen. The writing was good although not certain it was altogether true. Can't imagine what any of these women saw in that weasel Solomon as the real Paul Solomon was a very unattractive fellow with the integrity of a rabid hyena.

The Actual Carolyn Warmus...no beauty
Verified purchase
OK, look at Virginia Madsen at the time of the making of this film...now search photos of the actual Carolyn Warmus...'nough said! This woman was about as appealing as yesterday's dirty laundry...not "hot" or glamorous like they desperately tried to depict her in this dated film to create more drama. A selfish narcissistic witch...not that there's anything kind to say about the philandering piece of work husband who betrayed his wife and family cheating with that thing. She served 27 yrs and was released in 2019...check out how she plays to the camera in all her photos...butter wouldn't melt in her mouth!

I believe Carolyn was framed
Verified purchase
Great movie , very sad but good movie. I believe Carolyn was framed by Paul Solomon and that equally slimy detective Parco. Solomon I think snapped and killed his wife maybe because he found out she cheated and there are many men who think it's ok if they do it but their wives aren't allowed. He panicked because he didn't want his daughter to know obviously (she was away) and worked together with Parco to frame Carolyn . He took advantage of her infatuation with him and her emotional instability to set her up. Carolyn may have even given Paul Parco's number casually in passing and he used it. I mean it is possible that she could have snapped but I believe that it was Paul. Why would he be granted immunity? Why was Parco? Pis can also falsify documents incriminating people and shady ones can pay witnesses. And if my spouse were killed in my home and I know I didn't do it why would I remain there with my kid? I would move the kid and me immediately. Regardless if Carolyn is indeed innocent I'm glad she's out.

Good acting all around

The movie gets you at the beginning, I think Carolyn thought she was Maralyn Monroe, she sure acted the part. Normally in a situation such as this the husband would be aware but not this guy.
Good docu-movie about a female killer.

Poorly written
Verified purchase
Interesting story but poorly written and directed. Amateurishly done, I think. Some parts just didn't make sense and others incredibly predictable. I was pleasantly surprised to see William H Macy, who is a first class actor, but even he could not pull off some of his lines. He wasn't even mentioned in the cast. I'm not sure if she was guilty or framed. That part of the story seems rushed . I discovered the film was not made in 2019 but some 20+ years earlier. Honest mistake Amazon?

Noir woman.

I just realized that Virginia Madsen is a perfect Noir woman. All that smouldering sexuality! Other than Virginia the movie was entertaining enough even though the plot was pretty easy to guess. It wasn't really deep. This is the type of movie you can follow while doing something else
