A well written movie with a deeper meaning
Verified purchase
I was expecting typical Korean college drama but found a well written movie about the handicaps & obstacles that you can and can’t see.
All of the characters had obstacles to overcome or come to terms with; some physical and some mental.
On the surface the handicapped people were easy to spot but as the movie plays out you see that everyone has a handicap.
The tech nerds couldn’t see that the love they yearned for was staring them in the face because they had mental obstacles.
The dad couldn’t see that his daughters immobility wasn't as big of a disability as his duty to her made it. The male lead was “normal” on the outside but his obstacles were mental. I loved the Mom of the male lead. Overall this was a great watch

Simple Fun

I watched this as it was included in my Prime. The subtitles was out of sync but simple story I enjoyed. Did not seem to be any bossy girl in it just a woman that was living her life. That lead her to the main male lead that I enjoyed there interactions. It had the feel of a series condensed into a movie. What I guess you can say drama there is in the movie seemed to make sense. Some characters over react to somethings and then there was interactions I wish I could have seen more of. I mainly gave it 4 out of 5 because of the out of sync subtitles. They act surprised or some other action then it is 5 to 10 seconds before you understand why, unless the times when they never had any subtitles for what was said.
I feel if you have seen a Korean series with romance this is a good movie to watch. I am not sure it is really a romance there is even a point in the movie one of the characters is like oh yeah we are in a relationship. Unless it is just something I missed or a missed translation int he subtitles.
It condenses it into movie form but lose some details. I still enjoyed it for what that is worth.

My Bossy Girl - review

After watching the movie, I felt that the title didn't fit the movie. In fact, it's misleading because it didn't seem like it was about a bossy girl. When I read the title, I was thinking it was about a girl with princess syndrome who nags and bosses her man around. It turns out, my thoughts were nowhere near what this story is about. It's about a timid guy and a girl with disabilities meeting and liking each other. I also like how this movie had comedic scenes. 5 stars.

I knocked off a star because the subtitles were arriving a full 4 seconds before the actors' lips moved. Spoilers constantly.

a charming, funny and cute film

The characters are likeable and the story, while predictable is touching. I enjoyed the character arcs each person went through. Cinematography is great for a romantic comedy. Watch this film, and as long as you don't take it too seriously, you will enjoy it!

Good movie, delayed captions
Verified purchase
I really liked this movie! It was cute, and had a couple sad moments. My only issue was that the English captions were delayed a couple seconds, so I had to wait till the actors were almost done speaking before I knew what they were saying. Still, if you want a good romance, this is it!

Nice romantic story

Girl in wheelchair is a very good archer. Guy is an engineering PHD. Very sensitive story about handicapped children, their effect on siblings, and parents’ concern about what happens to their child when the parent dies. HEA. Nice to see a movie where the nerd gets the girl.

Romance Comedy Lite

A sweet and cute lighthearted romantic comedy suitable for anyone. It was a nice touch to have the leading lady portrayed as a handicapped woman without allowing the focus to be on the handicap.
