I really wish that I had read this in the correct reading order, but it was still a fantastic story. It took me a bit to figure out who was who, and once I caught up, it was definitely worth it. I like how Cade was able to finally learn who he truly was, while also finding his forever love. It's certainly not a story that you'll want to miss.
I would definitely recommend this book and outstanding author.

I would highly recommend reading the other series by this talented author. You won't be disappointed!

This second book in the series is Cade’s story. Cade was completely unlikeable in the first book — the way he was with his sister made him seem impossible to redeem. But…. Here we have his story and we learn to like him quite a bit.

I did not warm up to Gia right away. But all is not as it seems and she becomes quite the perfect match for Cade.

Hoping there’s at least one more book in this series!

Good thing for him, since Gia and Mya need all the help they can get. Unfortunately, the subject matter is very real, so I hope we have soldiers like these off the pages!

The man I loved to hate in Someone Like You, the cold hearted brother with a wall surrounding him making him more like a robot with no emotions, a man who shows a bit of his real self, cracking that wall a bit near the end, Cade.
Brittney Sahin knows how to tell a story, knows how to twist your assumptions and emotions, to go from hating a character to loving and wanting him all to yourself.
Cade, the ruthless man and some even considered a monster gets tangled up in Gia’s web, the daughter of a hitman with ties to the Irish mob. He meets her at a strip club and goes to defend her, only to have her turn around and go against him so she can protect him. But the head of the mob, Rory, wants Gia and will kill any one who gets close to Gia to keep her in line, he now has his sights on Cade. Gia doesn’t want another innocent to get hurt and warns Cade but that only stokes his need to protect her and will do anything to do it, which only causes him to upheaval his life and those he loves around him to keep everyone safe as he goes head to head with the mob boss and her dad, a ruthless hitman.
What a story filled with suspense, betrayals, lies, secrets and oh my my my my steamy, fog up the mirror sensual steamy scenes. I did hate Cade in the beginning, a womanizing man wh*** who didn’t go a few days w/o bedding a different woman, all cold and calculating, no emotions and no real compassion or kindness shining through. He was protective of his brother and sister’s family, letting the facade crack a bit and then with Gia as they got to know one another, his walls came tumbling down piece by piece....a different man altogether by the end. And what a man he is as we learn all his deep secrets and find out why he is the way he is and the hate turns to love and understanding.
Gia was a force to be reckoned with as well, a strong, determined, compassionate woman who finally gets through to Cade as they run for their lives, hiding and trying to keep one step ahead of Rory and her father.
A read that had my heart beating fast with the suspense and danger, spine tingling with the steam, and tears streaming down my face near the end. A read that had my emotions changing from hate to love, a read with many twists and turns I didn’t see coming, a read that had many characters from previous books coming together to help Cade and Gia making me want to go back and read all the previous books. A read I couldn’t put down till I was done and now I can’t wait for the next book from this talented author.

I admit it. I am on a reading convoy with Brittney Sahin’s books. Cade and Gia’s story had some twists and turns along with tidbits about characters in upcoming stories. Her writing has continued to develop and I didn’t notice any blank plot pieces as in her earlier books. Cade had more going on in his life with his father that gets revealed in this book. His relationship with his siblings is still getting stitched back together. I’m interested to read a book about Corbin.

After reading Someone Like You, you kind of hate Cade. When I saw that he was going to have the next book, I thought I wasn't going to be able to get into it because of the feelings I had for him in most of Someone Like You. Well let's just say he redeems himself tenfold in My Every Breath! The way he just jumps headfirst to help Gia no matter what, makes you realize he's not as cold-hearted as you think and he clearly was hiding who he really was because of the position his parents put him in. Before Gia, Cade didn't do love and was with a different women every night. Then he sees and meets Gia and his whole world is turned upside down. Cade learns that he can find love even though he believes himself unredeemable. He just needed to find the perfect person for him. The way Cade fights for Gia makes you hope to find someone who will do the same for you. You love Gia from the start and how headstrong she is. I love that she knows what she wants and goes for it. The chemistry between Gia and Cade is intoxicating and you can feel their need for each other! I also love the guest appearances we see of Connor and Mason from The Hard Truth. Brittney has written another amazing story and has set up her next series perfectly!
