A streaming speaker for audiophiles Naim Audio has upped their wireless music game with the redesigned Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation. This compact, cube-shaped speaker offers intuitive wireless streaming with app-based control from your smartphone or tablet. And when connected to your network via an Ethernet cable, it can play even higher-resolution music files than the original Mu-so Qb. That includes downloads from HDtracks , TIDAL's high-res Masters tier, and other streaming services. Redesigned speakers for optimal performance The Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation features a pair of redesigned micro-fiber tweeters and midrange speakers. The speaker array is angled for full, spacious sound. The redesigned bass driver is reinforced by two passive radiators and optimized by DSP (digital signal processing) technology for deep, clean low-frequency output. Each speaker is powered by its own amplifier, for minimal cross-interference and clear, accurate sound. Compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 Built-in Apple AirPlay 2 technology lets you stream audio directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac computer. That includes soundtracks from YouTube videos and Netflix movies. If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can do even more. Use Siri on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV 4K to control Apple Music with voice commands. Tell Siri what selection or playlist to play - and which compatible Naim speakers or components you want it to play through. Multi-room audio with the Naim app Download the free Naim control app for your smartphone or tablet, and you have even more options. You can control up to five Naim components to create a multi-room audio system. Group your connected speakers so that the same song plays throughout the house, or only on certain speakers. You can have every speaker accessing a different source and playing a different song. Build playlists with the app, and browse thousands of internet radio stations.

While audio quality is nice, but not significantly better (imo) than HomePod, I've had nothing but problems with either or both of the devices dropping from wifi, in spite of the fact that one of them sits next to the primary wireless router and the other on right next to the repeater. I basically have to reset devices every time I want to use them :-(.. The iOS app is completely unintuitive and on top of that doesn't seem to come with any documentation (at least I couldn't find any) - a bad combination..
Station pre-sets seem to be device specific, rather than global across devices - another solid nuisance, aggravated by the fact that resetting the device apparently requires setting pre-sets again.
Overall a solid disaster, in particular if you consider the price tag. Definitely not recommended
I added 1” silicone isolation bumpers to the bottom of the speaker so it Is not sitting flat on the shelf. This minor adjustment improves sound quality and eliminates vibrations. Very nice All In One Speaker and a musical experience.
I made some considerations before hand. First of all, I spent some time listening products like: Sonos Play 5, Kanto YU6, Klipsch The Three , Muso QB , Devialet Phantom, Google Home Max, B&W Zeppelin, Formation Wedge and although these products are very different in price, shape, sound signature and style I was looking for one plug and play solution that simply sounds great. The decision making for me was, after listening and feeling that the 2nd gen Muso, can render much more details on the music than other of the above mentioned systems.
Since the shape of my listening area is sort of rectangle room 4x5 m; I don't have too much space for stereo system, so placing stereo speakers within 24 inches separation will not deliver a huge stereo imaging. So with that in mind my guessing was that stereo separates or single box will not have a huge difference in overall sound quality in this particular room.
I didn't want many cables and connections.
Muso 2nd gen is by far the best one box speaker that I've listened.
The DSP is just awesome. It keeps the sound organized at any listening levels.
Connection wise it has everything that I might need. Multiroom , Line in aux, HDMI and very important for me is the Bluetooth availability in case of not having wifi.
So far I am pretty happy with my purchase. I can recommend to anyone who love enjoying music without complications and not missing the details that only high quality systems can reproduce. Muso 2nd gen is a fest for your hands, eyes and ears. I hope you to enjoy your unit as much as I'm enjoying mine.
