The one critique is that I don't think this is a level one reader. Kindergarteners will have a tough time reading this book on their own due to its length and vocabulary. It's more likely for a first grader. Even still, I highly recommend it!
I purchased this book about lions to complement the Waseca Biomes Africa study for my 6-9 Montessori classroom.
Works well for a 3 year old, as a short read. Holds attention . Encourages questions , with the realistic illustrations.
