Excellent book. My kindergartener needs to become a lion expert for her upcoming trip to the zoo. The facts are simple and easily remembered against a backdrop of beautiful shots of lions in the wild. There are jokes interspersed which are lion related. At the end of the book is a little picture quiz to help the kids remember lion-themed vocabulary.
The one critique is that I don't think this is a level one reader. Kindergarteners will have a tough time reading this book on their own due to its length and vocabulary. It's more likely for a first grader. Even still, I highly recommend it!
