My purpose is to skew the statistics in favor of this movie...

I found myself reading the review that was Negative "Twilight Zone..." and somewhat agreeing with it until they mentioned it having nothing to do with the birth of the Savior, which is true, it doesn't focus on Jesus's birth, but where I disagree is that the movie ends with the best Christ like behavior. A lot of forgiveness. (He would have forgiven all these people).

Yes, the movie has its cringe moments, but that's what most movies of this type do.

I love the giving, forgiving, and messages of love that come from this movie. It is one of the better ones out there! (no sappy long drawn out love story that has nothing to do with Christmas, ha ha).

Crazy kleptomaniac neighbor; rude, angry bosses, two-faced friends; distant workaholic boyfriend. When a magic book called "Naughty and Nice" appears in the mail the main character has the dirt on various people who mistreated her.

She exposes them and wreaks havoc in their lives until she decides to check if there is anything nice listed and the supposedly "nice" stuff outweighs the bad.

Uhhh no... if you commit a crime, doing "a good deed " does not make up for it, especially since the "good deeds" are done to be seen so as to create a fake reputation to cover over crimes.

Using the "magic" book to expose the crimes of others had an evil effect on the main character causing her to erupt in angry, uncontrolled outbursts.

This "comedy" had nothing to do with Christmas-- the birth of the Savior and was not harmless or humorous. The book was evil and had evil effects on the person making use of it.

I was pleasantly surprised by Naughty or Nice. This is a well made movie with a good cast. The acting by this talented cast was spot on and not too over the top like may Hallmark Channel Christmas movies you see these days. Hilarie Burton's portrayal of Krissy Kringle is so charming in this and hits all the right comedic moments. Even though it contains a lot of common situations you find in Christmas movies, the writers have managed weave them together in quite a refreshing way. Please don't believe the negative reviews to this movie. Had I read them before deciding to watch the movie, I would have skipped it and that would have been my loss.

I disagree with the "Christmas in the Twilight Zone" review of this movie. I think the reviewer missed the point of the story which is that there are two sides to a coin and you mustn't jump to conclusions about people. I don't think the kleptomaniac neighbor doing good deeds was to cover up her thefts.

I don't understand D's "Not necessarily suitable for children" review comment that "the girl ends up with the doofus, a guy with little class and apparently vacant of any morals." I suspect D may not have watched the entire movie. It is revealed in the end that Krissy jumped to a conclusion without knowing all the facts and her boyfriend was in fact a good and decent guy. (There are two sides to a coin.)

You should watch this movie and make your own conclusions. :-)

Love the story, excellent acting, great chemistry between the two main actors, meaningful message, and a happy ending. That's my favorite kind of movie. Although it's a Christmas movie, and it's clean (no sex, drugs, or swearing), it's not really for young kids. It is about being naughty or nice, and there are scenes with kids where this is the focus. Overall though, the story is about how adults deal with this theme -- within themselves and in their relationships with others -- family, friends, lovers, and co-workers. I especially enjoyed the Christmas magic that brings everything to light. For me, this is a feel good movie. I loved it!

I would have given this one star, but for some very funny scenes and some decent acting. What brought it down to a three was the sick feeling it left with me in my stomach as the girl ends up with the doofus, a guy with little class and apparently vacant of any morals. With Hallmark, I was expecting it to all work out in the end, she gets a good guy, but instead, she gets the hiccup.

Other character flaws were glossed over in a similar fashion, but those could be overcome via the Pollyanna themed plot --- but when it come to the guy she gets at the end --- give her something good!

Okay, yes, there is a little schmaltz in this, but it is nowhere near as bad as some of the Christmas movies I've seen. Really, the best part of this film is near the end - where Krissy and Santa talk - but Krissy's friend/coworker/fellow elf/gift-wrapper is quite good. Jessica Tuck, who gets very little credit in the Xray portion of the video, does her usual good job of being a villain. It's nice to see Meredith Burney ("Family TIes") and Michael Gross (also "Family Ties") together again.

Honestly - not good enough to become a family classic, but good enough to watch again by the fire.

You know the usual holiday movie with a copy and paste plot? The one with "the" single person (usuallly a woman) is presented and you shortly fiugre out exactly who she's going to meet and fall for. But there's a dilemma or misunderstanding in the way! Then all hesitations or difficulties resolve within the last 7 minutes of the movie.

That is not this movie! Yay! There's already a couple. She's tired of waiting on him to spend more time together. He's working a lot. And her world blows up because she's fired and her finances are tight and she has a mini-meltdown. But she encounters something that gives her the upper hand.

My favorite part of this movie is the humor. Somewhat silly, but enjoyable. And the characters are goofy and likeable. Plus there's a lesson about two sides to every coin.
