The Netscher Connection (Book 11) (Genevieve Lenard) Kindle Edition
Nonverbal communication expert Doctor Genevieve Lenard is on holiday in Hungary when she and her team are asked to assist in a missing person case. Her autistic mind is already having difficulties dealing with the new environment, and having to co-operate with local authorities might push her past her limits. Even more so when the missing person turns out to be an important, and painful, part of a team member's past.
The seemingly simple case takes a gruesome turn as their search uncovers artwork drenched in violent history, numerous deaths presumed to be by natural causes and the menacing online presence of a serial killer who's been cyber-stalking victims for years. Bodies are piling up at an alarming rate and, knowing that one of their own is in the killer's sights, Genevieve will have to use all her inner strength and expertise to stop this ruthless murderer.

A super, detour to a much different method of problem solving. This was a fun story and very unique. Reading about Genevieve coping with the different situations was the best! The story shows the growing closeness, the quick thinking, and the increasing bond of friendship of such a unique group of individuals. I have yet to be disappointed. Genevieve and her story remains one of my favorite stories to follow.
I don't think this is a spoiler but just in case, **possible spoiler alert** The author made it clear who committed the crimes and why but added interesting twists/possible red herrings that gave the mystery more depth and the reader something to think about.
Ms Ryan describes the settings in her book beautifully as well. Just the right amount of details so you're there, immersed with the characters, but not so many that you start to notice.
I do have to agree with another reviewer who mentioned that Genevieve's issues bothered her more in this book - I found Genevieve less likeable in this book but can't put my finger on why exactly. That's probably a good thing - means Ms Ryan's writing very realistic characters.
I hope Ms Ryan continues to write these books for the foreseeable future!
more repetitive description. Series recommended by another professional when I was seeking to understand more of the autism spectrum-- and
especially to appreciate the strengths that might be reflected as well as how to help with the challenges. Have found the series of practical help,
as well as enjoyable reads. Once again-- worth reading the series from the beginning because of the way the different characters develop and grow over time, and learn to accomodate and appreciate each other and expand their world views.
people to understand those who are autistic. She is very intellegent but lacks the
ways to interact with others. She slowly learns about herself through these books.
I know the author did a lot of research about this. The plots are great and so
is the writing. Each book is based on artwork by a different artist. All emotions are
in play.and they hold your attention. Highly recommend them if you like mysteries.

As with all of Estelle's books, there are a few good twists along the way and you are kept guessing for most of it. The best part is when you do finally guess who is behind everything, you are still on tender hooks waiting to see they can be stopped from creating all sorts of mayhem.
I know book 12 is now under construction - I hope Estelle is a quick typist.
I particularly liked the insight into Colin and the Romany culture of Hungary. So much history woven into fascinating, very modern storylines. The development of the characters I love so much and introduction of new, thoroughly likeable ones was a welcome treat.
Thank you again, Estelle. I look forward to the next book!
Genevieve has finally managed to take a holiday in Hungary, of course, her team all come along too, which keeps her non-neurotypical reactions within safe parameters.
While there Colin's past resurfaces and they are drawn into a race 6 time to solve multiple murders, resolve issues over a Nazi looted e before time runs out.
I love these books and can't wait to see what happens next time.
