A world split between day and night. Two sisters who must unite it. The author of The Bone Witch kicks off an epic YA fantasy duology perfect for fans of Furyborn.
Generations of twin goddesses have long ruled Aeon - until one sister’s betrayal split their world in two. A Great Abyss now divides two realms: one cloaked in eternal night, the other scorched beneath an ever-burning sun.
While one sister rules the frozen fortress of Aranth, her twin rules the sand-locked Golden City - each with a daughter by their side. Now those young goddesses must set out on separate, equally dangerous journeys in hopes of healing their broken world. No matter the sacrifice it demands.
Told from four interweaving perspectives, this sweeping epic fantasy packs elemental magic, star-crossed romance, and incredible landscapes into a spectacular adventure with the fierce sisterhood of Frozen and the breakneck action of Mad Max: Fury Road.

Two worlds. Two goddesses with their own secrets—one rules over a freezing world plunged in darkness, while the other rules over the part living under a scorching sun. As their respective worlds deplete a little more day after day, shadows from another world come with a warning. The goddesses’ daughters, Haidee and Odessa, must embark on a journey to the Breaching in an attempt to save the world.
As they begin their journey, each accompanied by a fighter with a mind of their own, they will face frightening creatures, magic, and their mother’s secrets. The shadows and some creatures may help, but everything has a price, and they don’t know yet what the cost for their help will be. For now, they must save the world.
I’ll be honest—when I first saw the length of this book, I may have prayed for it to be good. But the author delivered. This amazing story is a real page-turner. It took me only two days to read it. The pacing is incredible. In every chapter, something is always happening. The writing is beautiful and easy to read.
And the characters! I love each one of them … Ok, I might have a preference for Arjun and Lan! I laughed out loud many times reading Arjun’s chapters. I love how the author uses mechanics in the world under the sun. The romance warmed and at times broke my heart. I also love the relationship between Lan and Odessa. The conflict and dynamics are very different between Odessa and Lan, and Haidee and Arjun. The author created wonderful characters.
They all go through their quest as a last attempt to save their world, and if you are a fan of fantasy, you’re going to love this book. I also listened to a part of the book in audio, and the narrators are excellent actors. This is a five-star rating for me. I highly recommend this book.
. That being said i wasn't overly invested but it was a good book, not boring at all. I would recommend this book, and im pretty sure everyone else who reads this will abslutely love it.
