Super great book. Heroine trying to start a new life after a abusive relationship meets cocky man.
And I loved Grandma! Just a touch sassy while being a lady.
Oh and Kent? Oh yeah, hunky older man. ( fanning my face). He took heroine under his wing in a totally fatherly way of course.
Lori Foster does it great again! You won’t be sorry you bought this book. Of course her book “Getting Rowdy” will always be my fave but this book did not disappoint.
But the best part; she doesn't write her female characters all weak and wimpy, either. No. Most of the females in her stories are just as strong willed and as tough as the men they end up taming in the end.
This book was all of that and more. Hot sexy love scenes, a little humor, alpha males, feisty women, suspense, and even a little mystery thrown in before we finally got to our HEA ending. I loved all the characters in this story, but especially Ben and Sierra. Although Kent, Brooke, and Aggie were all great entertainment, too. And who could ever forget the very loveable and feisty, Gracie and her big scary hunk of a man, Noah.
The hero Ben was a likeable secondary character in the first story, but I found parts of his behaviour objectionable in this one. I thought he came across as predatory in certain scenes with the heroine. Nothing extreme, but since she had an abusive ex, it made me wince occasionally. Speaking of which, the villain's actions and motivations for same really didn't play at all.
I also thought TMT was very funny, but that the humor here was a trifle forced. I did appreciate the family warmth and found it the strongest part of the book. The sex scenes were fun and frank - and plentiful.
It's priced right to take the best and leave the rest. But if you haven't already had the pleasure, I suggest you start with Too Much Temptation instead.
A very funny and serious book.

I try not to give away too much from the story with my review.
Ben is definitely hot and he totally knows how to drive women crazy. Although you know how many women he has already had you can't think of him badly because he makes you wish for a guy like him all the time! (You will understand when reading it ;))
Sierra is kind of cute because she is unexperienced and naive. Her struggling with Ben makes you smile and sometimes it was hard not to laugh out loud! ;)
I like that this book is written from different points of view so it changes between Sierra and Ben and you get a lot more information this way than you would have otherwise. The only parts I regard as needless were the parts written from Kent's and Brooke's points of view because the poor information you get from those parts aren't really worth it.
The author could have spent those pages for more hot scenes between Ben and Sierra and by this I mean REALLY HOT!
Ben is the kind of lover all the women dream about (even if they won't admit). Those scenes are totally sizzling and I promise that even if you read it in the coldest of winter you won't need any more heating ;).
So maybe you should have your husband/wife near you to make sure you have someone to share your inspiration with (and to all the men in the world... read this and learn from Ben!!! ;))
I would recommend this book to everyone who wants some entertainment and some light reading stuff.
If you search for a profound story it might not be the BEST choice although Sierras story might touch you from time to time!
