This older stand-alone is a departure from John Sandford's usual works. This ebook has editing errors. No gratuitous violence or drag-you-down drama.
This storyline is about coincidences and a psychopath. Realistic procedures, actions and reactions. Believable characters with distinct personalities. Interesting dialogue.
'The toughness extended to the psychological. Farm kids knew how the world worked, right from the start. She’d taken the fuzzy-coated big-eyed lambs to the locker, and brought them back in little white packages. That’s the way it was.'
I will re-read this story and always look forward to, pre-order when possible, new works by this author.
I didn't really see the final twist ...was leaning in another direction. Don't want to spoil it but it wouldn't be bad to see the survivors down the road so to speak.
