It wraps up the big story arcs. It's a pretty tight edit. It's not high art, but if you are in need of some light space adventure with big stakes, the series generally delivers.

When I picked up the first Big Sigma book I read a light hearted SciFi novel, with fleshed out believable characters and stakes. It's a book I'd recommend getting lost in if ever life is getting a little too difficult. I cannot however make the same recommendation for this book. In fact I'd go so far as to say that the previous three books have been far darker in context then that first novel. Nova Igniter sees Lex pushed to physical and mental limits, with a character who genuinely seems ready to give up at times. It's believable, it's realistic, it's grounded, fantastic writing without a doubt. But it doesn't make for light hearted reading anymore. Just something to keep in mind if you started reading this series for a lighthearted adventure: Nova Igniter may not be the right book for that, happy ending and all.
