It seems like the lack of creativity in Hollyweird
Verified purchase
This is a near facsimile of a made for TV Movie about a N.M. Sheriff of Taos County going to the Big Apple made in the 70's with Dennis Weaver and another film called Coogan's Bluff of a very similar nature. It seems like the lack of creativity in Hollyweird, Screengems, and Desilu Productions has run out of ideas and just carbon copies or clones films that enjoy high ratings.

Slapstick and Predictable - Not Funny.

I loved NYPD so had to try this...... a real slapstick, dumb , predictable comedy. The lines were written horribly, they did the predictable runaway scenes in NY thru Central Park, through hotdog vendors, tangled in balloons, winds up with horse in lake. My husband started to watch it on my computer while I was watching and he just mumbled: That's BAD. I tried, but not for me.

Needs to be redone. Could have been better.

This was a good concept but was poorly executed. Poor sound and video quality with a fast that just did not go together.

Nice light comedy about policing in NY-family friendly

This is not NYPD Blue so get over it. Dennis Franz plays a comedy sidekick role....and does a very good job of it. Despite some cliches.., hick in the city, wise guys, New York cliches in general...I found plenty to laugh at. Even the horses show personality. The cowboy gets his man, the misfit finds his role, animal cruelty is prevented. It's a good time all around.

Serious Comedy

Seems strange seeing Dennis Franz in a lighter cop role after watching NYPD Blue (the series). They guy is a total genius cast as a NYC policeman in a wild spoof on the Department. This is a fun Saturday or Sunday afternoon no brainer to help de-stress after your difficult week on the job. Don't forget the popcorn!

Better plot and way better acting

It's awful. 1 star is too high. If you want to see cowboys in NYC, get "The Cowboy Way". Better plot and way better acting.

Clean family movie

Family Friendly - Good movie. Not your run of the mill movie so you don't know what is coming next.
