I normally use command strips for hanging frames but due to insufficient surface space on the back of my current frame, decided to try a monkey hook because the design seemed like it would hold a decent amount of weight (up to 35lbs) yet make minimal markings on the wall. The frame is holding a 19x27in puzzle. The hook is approximately 2mm thick. It’s definitely easy to use, just twist the hook back and forth as instructed. It felt pretty snug and anchored once pushed all the way through. Overall, it seems like a great product and will use for other frames or wall hangings. Wouldn’t be hard to patch up any future holes since it’s small.

I bought these to hang paintings on a wall that has some wood working on it so it would be more difficult to hang than on regular flat drywall. They worked, and I felt like it was fine.
Months later I finally got family photos printed and framed and decided to hang those using these hooks. It went quickly. The same night I decided to hang a 17lb mirror. I used monkey hooks for both projects. When I tell you I did all of those projects in under an hour (doing math and measuring a million times for placements)… the most stressful part is the measuring! Once you know where you’re going to hang anything, you can breathe knowing the actual act of hanging will be a breeze (so long as you’re not trying to hang on a stud).
Completely recommend for anyone who doesn’t have the time, energy, and/or expertise to hang something with drill bits and anchors and nails and screws. Absolutely worth the money.
