A Little Difficult to Understand Actors Accents
Verified purchase
Overall, this was a good movie. Especially since it is a true story about saving penguins. I probably wouldn't watch it again though. We did struggle to understand the Australian accents, which usually isn't a problem for us with Australian actors. I don't know if it was that the actors spoke too quickly, but we had to rewind numerous times to understand what had been said. We didn't have any trouble understanding Alan Tudyk though, even though I was left a little confused by his part, especially at the end.

This was a great movie! Because it has comedy, animals, and ADORABLE MOVIE STARS (meaning the animals of course)! There are SO MANY HILARIOUS PARTS!!!! IT'S A GREAT FAMILY MOVIE, ESPECIALLY FOR AN ANIMAL LOVING FAMILY!!! AND THERE IS NOTHING SCARY OR CREEPY. IT IS LITTLE KID FRIENDLY (there is only one swear word in it and the person says it really quickly). SO ANYONE WHO LOVES DOGS, CHICKENS, COMEDY AND PENGUINS YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY WATCH IT!!

We liked the story, it was funny, sad in places, but as my great granddaughter says, "amazing!".
Good for the whole family to enjoy together.

Wonderful story

Really enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would. I found it fasinating to go to the website listed at the end and read all about the real dogs that they have trained for the last 15 years to continue protecting this penguine population. There have been some ups and downs, some bad years with the foxes even now but when they are there the dogs do an amazing thing and I was fastinated. This was the first time I have heard of this and really glad I watched this film and learned something.

Fairy Penguins get Saved

Tired of violent dark subjects? Watch this uplifting, fun romp with an Oddball dog and Family and how they worked to save the Fairy Penguins. It is charming and has lovely, scenic ocean views of Australia.
