Wonderful introduction to the world of Dr. Seuss!

I first found this book when I was pregnant. My husband was working in a different state during the last 2 months of my pregnancy. So I purchased this book and made a recording of my husband reading it. Then I played that recording for my belly every night, so my little one would recognize his Daddy's voice when he was born. It was so special for us that now, everytime someone I love gets pregnant, I send them this book and tell them how we used it. Every person, the mom's AND dad's to be, get teary eyed when they receive it. It's a wonderful way to begin reading to your child!

This book is not really an adaptation of "Oh, the places you'll go". Instead, it is a collection of references to various Dr. Seuss books. If you are a Dr. Seuss fan and plan on introducing your little one to all of those beloved books, you will probably love this book. But for me, it was devoid of meaningful content. It is not an actual story.

I bought it because I was looking for something to read to my baby before she is born, and this book is made for that. But I wish I'd seen previews first. I suppose it is not very aptly named. I am returning it and will read "Oh Baby Go Baby" to my little one instead, as that is just a simplified version of the original (with fun tactile aspects for when baby gets older).
