Enhance your purchase
Rumors of its exploits are spreading and, like a ghost, nobody even knows what it looks like.
Captain Jason Burke and his crew watch this growing menace with a mix of unease… and guilt. They know who this killer is. He used to be one of them.
Seven, as he now called himself, is their former crewmate. The powerful, sentient machine that had once gone by Lucky has suffered a psychotic break and is now a problem that Omega Force has to deal with. Jason wants to believe that he can still save Lucky, but the longer Seven remains, the more he has to admit that it might be better for everybody if he was just eliminated before he can hurt any more innocents. The real question is can they even do it? Many have gone up against Seven already. None were alive to talk about it. The Omega Force crew is in for the fight of their lives against someone who knows everything about them.
Can Jason take down Seven without losing anyone else?

Joshua Dalzelle has done it again, and it looks like he is preparing to tie up some story arcs. I'm not going to give away the satisfying ending. But it's a really good one. 😉
This book is not at all predictable, and I'm good at predicting. This particular resolution was quite different than I could have imagined! But, I cried and celebrated at the same time. And so did our crew. Enough said.
Let's just say, I anxiously await the next OMEGA FORCE book, and I hope Mr. Dalzelle never gets tired of writing them!
If you're new to this series, I suggest you start with book one: OMEGA RISING. Then two, then three... You won't be able to put them down!
As a whole, what is the series about? A human from earth inadvertently travels to space and learns that there are thousands of inhabited planets, and bipedal species, most of which are spacefaring.
He makes some friends, gets a ship, and they travel the quadrant trying to do good. They're honorable mercenaries, for the most part. And you'll wish you were friends with these colorful and often amusing guys who are very good at fighting and shooting and blowing things up.
If I could tell Joshua to include anything, it's be a hybrid daughter of Jason and Admiral Colleran. The dynamic between her and her older brother would be cool. Maybe together, they could take over OF. New spin-off series??? 😉
Mission is interesting, with enough twists and turns, action and humor to make it suspenseful and enjoyable.

But a series need not be epic in scope, L.E.Modisitt Jr for example, paints on a far smaller canvas, but his Imager series grips because of the central character, and an unusual take on magic.
Overall, then, Omega Force 13 does not live up to its predecessors. Pity, really.
When it is about Jason and crew, the book is everything you could hope for, just need more of it
I've thoroughly enjoyed these adventures from day 1, and this latest romp did not disappoint.
