Wedding videographer Tish Gallagher is at the end of her rope. She's just spent her last buck on nonreturnable (but oh so fabulous) shoes. And her most sustainable relationship is with a pint of Hv§agen-Dazs. So she makes a wish on a lucky wedding veil...and sees the man she never stopped loving, her ex-husband, secret service agent Shane Tremont. Sure, their chemistry was hotter than a Texas summer, but their clashes were legendary, and no amount of longing will change that.
When her dream job of recording the first daughter's wedding appears out of the blue, Tish knows it's her only shot to get out of the red. Just one teensy glitch: Shane is the groom. From the moment they see each other, she knows nothing's changed--the same old magic is still between them, as irresistible and potent as ever. But he's promised to another and Tish has been burned before.

Shane Tremont is a Secret Service agent and Tish' ex. He is the bodyguard for the POTUS daughter. While on duty he saved her life and in the course became severely injured. Elysee the daughter he was guarding was by his side throughout his hospitalization and even took him back to the presidential ranch to recuperate. Being so close, they fell in love and became engaged.
Wanting the best wedding possible Elysee hired videographer Tish Gallagher. Tish took the job for many reasons. She needed the money badly. A wedding such as this would boost her career. The only thing that caused her hesitation was that it was Shane's wedding. It was something to watch Elysee, Shane and Tish as they came together.
It didn't take long for things to become interesting with many twists and turns. I loved every minute of this book and was really hated for it to end. It is deserving of all five stars!
Two years later they reunite around Shane's wedding to the president's daughter.
After video taping the engagement party not so friendly things begin to happen to Tish.
Shane has to make a choice follow his heart or uphold his family pride.
I liked the main characters except for Cal.
Tish is shocked when she receives a phone call from Elysee Benedict, the first daughter. President Nathan Benedict's daughter had been told that Tish is the best wedding videographer in the Houston, Texas, area. It looks as though Tish's wish is really going to come true! As Tish meets Elysee to discuss the video project, she learns that the groom is her ex-husband, Secret Service agent Shane Tremont. Two years apart has not dampened the sizzle between Tish and Shane, but now it is too late. Of course, Elysee knew all along that Tish and Shane had once been wed, but that fact does not phase her one bit. Tish really wants to hate Elysee, but the first daughter is so sweet, honest, and naïve that Tish cannot help but like her.
Bigger problems hit the fan when Elysee's former nana (nanny) approaches and asks for help to rescue a friend from India. The engagement party is about to become very dangerous indeed.
**** I missed book one, There Goes the Bride, but since each book seems to be a stand-alone story, I never felt as though I were lost. Those who did read it will get to see Delaney (the friend who wished on the veil in the previous title) as a secondary character this time. I found that to be a very nice little touch! However, the author's main focus stays on Tish, Shane, and Elysee. If you are a shop-a-holic or have a shoe fetish, then you will certainly empathize with Tish, who spends her last $93 on a pair of shoes. Even though I do not fall into that category, I still found myself sympathizing with her. No matter what life throws at Tish, the lady is a survivor. Shane's character is strong too. He loses the full function of his hand while saving the life of the first daughter. However, the character of Elysee is just TOO innocent to be believable. There is just no way a grown woman can be that naive, blind to the faults of others, and gullible. All-in-all, author Lori Wilde gives readers a delightful dose of magic and an exciting adventure to help pass rainy days in bliss. I loved every moment I spent reading this story and will be on the look out for the first story, as well as the next. ****

In a sudden reversal of fortune, Tish lands herself the biggest job of her life - videoing the wedding of the president's daughter. The job is the answer to her prayers and the way to save her business and her bank balance. There's just one problem - Shane is the groom. The magic is still there but with so much baggage, him promised to another and a few dark secrets, will they ever be able to find each other again?
This is the second book in Wilde's Wedding Veil Wishes series after There Goes the Bride . The couple from that book do make a brief appearance but I would say that this book stands nicely alone as the only recurring storyline is that of the magic veil.
I adore second chance love stories and so I was looking forward to this book. It didn't disappoint and the chemistry between Shane and Tish was emotional and gave that little hitch in your tummy during their scenes together.
The book was very much about Tish and Shane and how they overcame their issues and managed to work things out between them. There was some action but I did feel the book was lot about the emotion and the main character's connection. I still really enjoyed the book and couldn't put it down, reading it in a very short time. It's an excellent addition to the series or a fun stand alone book and definitely one I would recommend.
