He pulls some strings (because the owner of Wilde happens to owe him about a dozen favors), and Antony gets Ella assigned as his bodyguard. He thinks his plan is brilliant. He'll have Ella in close proximity again, and Antony is sure that he'll be able to convince her that they belong together. Though some groveling--and a whole lot of seduction--may just be involved in his master plan.

Except...the danger turns out to be real.

Someone is gunning for Antony, and he doesn't know if his enemy is from the spy world or the business world. He just knows that a big target is on his back. Now he and Ella have to unmask the threat that they never saw coming, before it's too late. As they fight to track the bad guy, Antony has to prove to Ella that he can be honest with her, and, if she gives him a shot...he just might be a man she can love. Because if he loses her again, Antony knows there will be no second chances.

Author's Note: Their sexual tension can't be held in check. When Ella and Antony are close, they ignite. But with so many secrets and lies, can they find a happy ending? Sure, yes, he's a genius in front of a screen. Give him a keyboard and he'll play the whole world to its knees before him. But his story shows a side of him I never would've expected. Darkness, passion, sexiness.

And hell, he's not too rough for me either, Ella! Their relationship is as complicated as a maze which is telling something considering they've worked together for two years without breaching the professional barriers. Their thoughts and fantasies, though, were free to flyyyyy.

I loved the story. The question of whether there's actually any danger or just a manipulative genius at work? Who else is secretly working for Dex and have I met him/her in previous Wilde Ways books? Is there another classified organization of badass people in existence that we don't know about?

I'd read the book again - and I probably will because Cynthia Eden doesn't write books you can only read once and put them away, no - but Chloe Hastings is waiting for me to help her catch a serial killer and watch sparks fly between her and a certain doctor.

Just to finish, I am so happy to have found this series and this author. There are never enough books for me to read and enough time but for great stories, I'll create a time vehicle or a reality where all you do is read. That would be awesome as is "The One Who Got Away".

I like possessive alpha males and Antony has been portrayed as a computer nerd with no alpha tendencies in past books. So I wasn’t sure how I would feel about his story. Apparently, we are supposed to believe that the bumbling geek we’ve met through out the series is a persona, hmmm. I don’t like how Antony keeps begging Ella for a second chance and she keeps throwing in his face that he lied. Well he’s a freaking spy, he has to keep secrets. She should be smart enough to understand that and move forward. I feel Anthony gives her all his feelings while he’s left in the dark about hers. She is not a very good bodyguard, it seems like Antony is always protecting her. Anyway, this book turned out to be pretty good. I like Antony’s total love for Ella and it doesn’t hurt that he could kick but too.

I really liked Antony, ever since we first met the nerd/CIA operative/game developer. His book doesn’t disappoint either. The dichotomy between his nerd side and kick-ass agent side made the story both fun and exciting. Ella was his ex-head of security that he had loved for the last two years, secretly, and it takes her quitting to get him to finally own up to his feelings and he finds out she cares about him too, just really hates all of his secrets. Their story was great, the bad guy was a surprise, which typically happens in these stories, and the whole plot was just fun and entertaining. Plenty of passion and action, I really enjoyed it and enjoyed coming back to the Wilde Ways series.

Leaves him after giving him a night to say 'goodbye' and he follows her to Atlanta. He wants her back and will lie to achieve it. Fortunately for him, there is someone out there who is trying to kidnap him. So Ella does take the bodyguard job. Dex makes some appearances throughout and so does someone from Ella's past making Antony jealous. Action packed and there was a happy ending. I sure hope there's another one after this one.

Having to prove himself over and over that he is quite capable of dangerous work, his sole focus is Ella. Funny thing is dynamite comes in small packages and Ella is explosive! This will really make you do a double take next time the "nerdy" guy sits next to you. Of course a brilliant mind is oh so sexy!
