Very happy

Really love this show! To be honest, I already had the OTH season 1 DVD’s but I noticed when watching them that they were extremely grainy pixelated pictures instead of clearer. (Only my season 1 DVD’s were this way. Seasons 2-9 are good) I bought this now to see if there’s a clarity difference in the picture and I’m leaning towards yes. I got the DVD’s when they first came out and I see this set came out 4 years later. It is a big difference between for me. Very happy but I will still be checking other episodes to ensure I really do see the difference.

The beginning of it all
Verified purchase
The first season of One Tree Hill was so great because the characters went on such a great journey through 22 episodes. Most shows do not want to go so fast in hopes they can chug along for a few seasons before having any major changes but not OTH. Nathan and Lucas' characters started out in episode 1 as enemies and ended as brothers. Haley was just a side character as Lucas' best friend and ended up becoming one of the most iconic characters in the entire nine year span of the show. Peyton was actually not bad in the first season and it is a shame the writers made her such a victim in later years. Even Brooke started out as a caricature and became something real by the end of the season. The 'adult' characters were really great too and Dan and Deb's divorce allowed Nathan to become a real person, not just the stereotypical jock he was in the beginning. Great beginning to a show that lasted nine seasons.

A nice idea for a series

Season one is the sweetest of them all. A nice idea for a series, with lovable characters. It's later on that this TV show gets bad. Up until season three, it's okay. Don't go beyond that. You'll be so disappointed; it drops down to cheap soap-opera quality.

There Is Only One Tree Hill.

I bought seasons 1-3 a few summers ago on a whim; I was bored & wanted a new show to watch. I'm not gonna lie, the first couple of episodes of season 1 are a little slow & glorify basketball, but it does pick up!

The DVDs: Visually, the quality of the show significantly increases as you get further into the season, not sure why that it, but I definitely noticed a change.

Special Features: They're really cool; tons of deleted scenes, commentaries (with the creator & actors) & behind the scenes features.

Overall: "One Tree Hill" has a huge variety of music & interesting storylines, which I personally find better than the average 'teen drama' show.

I LOVE ONE TREE HILL!! SAVE One Tree Hill

I thought this was going to be another dumb teen show but actually it's way different then I thought. The story lines are written so well and different I keep getting addicted one episode after another. It's about 2 brothers dealing with the fact that they have a different mother living in the same city. You followed through ups n downs just like it was when I went to high school. You are able to connect to some of the storylines and that is important. I was introduced to the series by a good friend I decided to give it a try and now it's all I can think about and wondering if it will make it to the new CW network. Honestly, it's was of the best shows I've seen and haven't like a lot of shows since Sex and the City. I've cried a lot of times watching this show and I enjoy every moment. It would be a BIG disappointment if it got cancel. A PERFECT SHOW!! After watching the 1st season by borrowing it from someone I know I automatically bought both seasons after. Try renting it first and I bet you'll be addicted too!!

If you haven't seen this show before, you are in for a treat! I bought this on a whim right after Thanksgiving because I am a sucker for Black Friday deals. I liked Dawson's Creek growing up and thought this show would be similar, but it is SO MUCH better!!! The first couple of episodes are a little slow...but you will be hooked in no time! I've since bought seasons 2, 3 & 4 and can't stop watching. I highly recommend this for teens and adults alike! The adults in OTH are just as much involved as the teens so don't think of this as "just another teen show." Here is a summary without spoilers: One Tree Hill is a small town that thrives on high school basketball games. The star player has a half-brother that his father wishes was never born & it throws both of them off track when he joins the basketball team. One Tree Hill deals with topics such as drinking, pregnancy, rape, etc. I promise you won't be disappointed in your purchase, but beware: it is very, very addictive!!!
