About the Author
Tess Summers, a former businesswoman and teacher, always loved writing but never seemed to have time to sit down and write a short story, let alone a novel. Now battling MS, she has finally slowed down enough to start writing all the stories shed been wanting to tell, including the fun and sexy ones. Married over twenty years with three grown children, Tess is a former dog foster mom who ended up failing and adopting them instead. She and her husband (and their six dogs) split their time between the desert of Arizona and the lakes of Michigan, so shes always in a climate thats not too hot and not too cold, but just right.--This text refers to the audioCD edition.

I'm probably over thinking this but Travis had a mean and cruel streak! He knew he was wrong, but never tried to go after Ava and make it right! He allowed weeks to pass with no apology and then when finds out Ava is pregnant he suddenly wants to marry her! He was horrible and I couldn't t believe she would marry a man who would always have cruel streak!
That doesn’t make much sense.
Otherwise, Travis is basically a jerk, who seems nice at first. Ava is a doormat, who remains a doormat to the bitter end.
For me, this will not be remembered as a favorite, and is not a book I would recommend.
Changing the font and font size at the end of chapter 6 then going back to the original in the next chapter was distracting.
This book is good enough to read once and is enjoyable. Might sample Ron's story because he was such a good guy.
