From ruse to romance

I thoroughly enjoyed this story because it showed what can happen when a ruse too quickly becomes a romance. It also shows how fast developing relationships often have more bumps in the struggle for a happily ever after. But I loved the main characters, Nina and Clinton, and all the supporting characters as well. Even the two biggest threats to Nina's and Clinton's relationship are well-written: Lamar (who can't take rejection) and Russell Birmingham (who will stoop to any misdeed to get what he wants). Lots of steamy sexy scenes, missteos and apologies, a near tragedy, and plenty of testosterone face-offs. Good reading frim beginning to end. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

One book down, three to go. The Richardson sisters are all daddy's girls. Typical siblings argue with each other on the regular, but ready to kick butt when someone else crosses one of them.

Nina is the baby, who just can't seem to catch a break when it come to men. Hiding out at home, the newest employee of the family business Clinton Jefferson is fine.

Drama, miss trust, two fathers, a former employee lead into this intriguing read.
Once again Ms. Hodges hit on all emotions. Looking forward to the next sisters story.

I was introduced to this author while reading a seasonal romance trilogy called, "The Christmas Lesson". My emotions ranged from anger to elation. I enjoy reading her works as she gives just enough of the story to allow the mind to reflect and muse. I anticipate reading about the other sisters in their book of this series. Perhaps we will get the "dad, Sheldon" and his story. Still water runs deep, as he showed his adversary near the book ending.

This was my second book by this author and she kept me reading because I wanted to know what would happen next. The loyalty between the sisters and their father created a strong bond. I thought the story with Nina and Clinton and Lamar moved fairly quickly with not a lot of details at first but the story all came together with an ending that has you wondering what happens in the other sisters lives. I would recommend this romance novel
