To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Tells half the story... Period. Actually it's more like just one of many parts of a story. This give credence to a limited perspective and the result of certain experiences.... It really does nothing else... you'd be better off just talking to people, at random - literally, and it would be more unbiased. Besides the amazon review system is "mitigated". It's not likely this or any others I post are even visible, if ever rarely. Says it's visible, but its not... If it all of a sudden is... well then.
