You wouldn't believe the number of reviews from various sources that I read before deciding on this one. Well, i'm happy I ordered it.
I bought this pull-down version because I didn't feel anything standing on a frame or hanging on a tripod in the back yard would safe. Plus I already have a frame to hang it from. When not in use I take it down and keep it in my shed.
Delivery: the box looked like someone had cut the end open to see if anything interesting other than a screen was in there, then clear-taped it shut. Other than that it was fine.
Packaging: Like a box inside a box with reinforced edges. Keeps it all safe and was still easy to open.
Installation: Easy. I just put two s-hooks up a the patio frame I already had in the back yard and hung the screen. Easy enough to be done by one person.
Open/close: Pulling down to open and then closing it is about what I expected. No surprises. It locks where I want. Just to be safe I put a cinder block brick on the ground under it and strapped the handle to it to insure it wouldn't blow around or close unexpectedly.
Screen: here''s the bottomline. It"'s good. Feels about the right thickness for weight and durability, no marks on it, no wrinkles, and with the projector I'm using it make's for a real theater quality viewing experience. Nice.
Cons: None.
Recommendation: I would absolutely recommend it to anyone for use inside or out.
