NIGEL MOORE is a husband, dad, investor, speaker, entrepreneur and mentor to small businesses around the world (with a special focus on MSPs and IT Solution Providers).

Instead of playing football with the cool kids in school, Nigel stayed at home and spent his afternoons and weekends typing code into his Commodore 64 from computer magazines, kicking off a lifelong fascination with all things Technology. Nigel started officially earning money from the IT space in 1998 doing some consulting while he was studying an Information Science degree at university.

This was quickly followed by a job at a local web development agency, where Nigel quickly rose to become the general manager (ultimately prompting him to follow his idol at the time, Bill Gates, to dropout of university).

In 2002, Nigel joined his first Outsourced IT Support firm, again becoming general manager a few years later. Then, in 2008, through a crazy turn of events, Nigel ended up owning his own MSP (ask him about it if you ever meet him in person).

Nigel grew the MSP from a single person business to a small team over the next few years, and in 2014, Nigel, along with another friend, merged two MSPs together. They spent the next few years systemizing, hiring good people and working ON the combined business.

In 2016, they were given an offer they couldn’t refuse, and the MSP was acquired. In early 2017, Nigel founded The Tech Tribe, which is now fast becoming the world’s leading community for MSPs, made up of hundreds of MSPs from around the world, all learning, growing and helping each other to better run and grow their businesses.

Nigel has a deep belief that everyone has their own special genius inside of them, and he loves helping small business owners work out how to find that genius and then spend as much time as possible working in it.

Nigel lives on the beach 90 minutes north of Sydney along with his wife, two daughters and their (loudly snoring) French Bulldog. He’s a daily meditator & journaler, surfer, swimmer and snowboarder, and when he’s not working or spending time with the family—you’ll find him out riding waves in the ocean or dreaming about his next snowboarding trip.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you have an MSP and struggle with pricing, this book is for you
By Javier Gutierrez on October 7, 2019
I bought this while on holiday a couple of weeks back. Just barely got to it. I downloaded the Kindle version when Nigel kindly made it available for those of us who purchased a physical copy of the book, but read that in bits and pieces while on holiday and I didn’t make tons of notes. This time around I DRANK it all in one sitting. I got to scribble on it, highlight it and set a bunch of post-its on it. A great read, took me around 1:45 to get through it. Keeps you entertained and it’s not filled with fluff. Just (almost) straight to the point advice as Nigel keeps it interesting by not making it a boring school book. The book is like having a conversation with him, I can actually almost hear him. It gives you the best 5-words of advice (read the book to find them) and reminds you that done is better than perfect. So if you’ll excuse me, time to put the book to work for me. Make it worth the $2,500 he should be selling it for!

5.0 out of 5 stars A goldmine of helpful strategies for MSPs
By Mike Capuzzi on September 14, 2019
Nigel Moore has done a great service for managed service providers (MSPs) with his book, Package Price Profit. In this easy-to-read book, he shares proven and effective strategies for growing an MSP business. His personable approach to teaching made reading the book fast, enjoyable and actionable. Chapter 9 on different pricing strategies is a goldmine for the MSP owner looking to grow. I bought three copies-two to give to friends.
