PANASONIC RP-HTF295 HEADPHONE MONITOR COMFORT BLK

Sound quality: Panasonic and Monoprice were the best by far. Panasonic sounded clear, with good bass, and they had a smooth, dynamic, open sound to them. Mids were not very pronounced. The Monoprice had a little more midrange, bass, and volume. They sounded just a little fuller than the Panasonic. JVC had no bass at all, but a lot of treble. They sounded hollow and tinny and harsh. They sounded really bad to my ears. I don't know how they have such good reviews. Sennheiser 409 was the worst by far, they sounded muddy, quiet, cheap, and not clear at all.
Comfort: Panasonic was the best. The ear cups are large and don't touch my ears at all. The padding is soft and thick enough. They are light and very comfortable. Sennheiser was also comfortable and even lighter, but the sound was so bad that it didn't matter. JVC came in third for comfort. They are ridiculously large and heavy. The cups are big but shallow, which caused my ears to touch the inside which was annoying. Also the way they adjust is stupid and they don't stay in place. They are hideously ugly as well. The Monoprice were the least comfortable. They hurt my ears and head after only 15 minutes of wear. The cups are smaller than my ears and press them into my head. The clamping force is very high. They rest on your head with one little tiny hard pad. The comfort was the deal breaker for me for the Monoprice headphones.
Build quality: Monoprice and JVC were probably the best, but Panasonic was very close. They all have pretty sturdy feeling plastic and cables. The Sennheisers felt like a cheap toy that would break any minute. The cable was about as thick as fishing line.
Isolation: This is the only reason not to buy the Panasonics. They are semi-open and can easily be heard by others. I would not use these out in public. I only intended on using them in my room, so it wasn't an issue. If I wanted headphones with good isolation, I would have returned all four of these and looked at other models.
Over all, the Panasonics came in first with the best comfort and a smooth sound with plenty of bass. I also think the look the best too. I can wear them for long periods with no fatigue. Monoprice may have been the winner if they weren't so horribly uncomfortable so they came in second. JVC were too large, cumbersome, and had no bass so they came in third. The Sennheisers felt much much cheaper than the others and had the worst sound, so they came in last. I kept the panasonics returned the other three.
I will say, if you're looking for strictly noise cancelling, these would not be your headphones. They do block some noise, but not enough for you to be unaware of some background noises as well. There is also no volume control on the actual headphones themselves, though that wasn't something I was looking for at all.
About the only negative I can give is because these are studio headphones, the cord is VERY long. I've managed to keep it coiled together to help, but be aware if you're using them for casual listening that the cord is long. Otherwise, I can't really complain. If I need a new pair, I'm thinking I'll buy another one of these. Definitely can't beat the comfort and quality for the price.
This is the best pair of headphones I've ever owned. I use them all of the time whether I'm watching TV, playing video games, or messing around on the internet. The sound (to me) is crystal clear and beautiful. Pretty much every single pair of headphones I've had in the past made my ears hurt. This is the first time I've found one comfortable enough where my ears don't hurt at all. It's very cushy soft, the foam sits on my head (around the ears) so my ears don't really touch anything. After having them on so much I can barely tell I'm even wearing them. The cord is very long which is extremely convenient as most headphones are way too short. I can barely hear the background noise as long as something constant is playing (TV or music). You can hear everything going on around you if no/not much sound is being played on therm. I'm going to buy a second set for when I've totally worn these out because I fear I will never find a decently priced, amazing set like this again. It's been 10 months since I bought them and use them all day almost every day and there has been no cord fraying, no wear on the foam around the ears, and I still get a tight adjustment on my head. I can't really say much more... They're perfect for me!

A mí no me molesta.
Edit: So I have changed the rating from 2 star to 5 star. The customer service was very good, but the seller was out of stock so instead of replacing my headphones they gave me a full refund, including shipping to them. I don't want this review to sour any opinions of the headphones mine broke quickly but truly did work great for the short time they worked fine. I will purchase again, if the price drops to where it was before.
